Tip from a hairstylist: if you cut the first underlayer of bangs shorter than you want the resulting bangs, and then cut each additional layer a little bit longer, you will end up with those perfect Bettie Page bangs. (The full, tidy blunt-looking bang that is slightly rounded.)

Ominous Hope There are better ways to make ponytails. You could just make a normal wig and style it. But if you want high ponytails, I can see why you would do this.

This is late, but try buying hair hanks from a hair shop. It's a lot of hair, so it will be good for quite a few dolls. The reason why is because a lot of that hair is kanekelon, which is what dreading hair is made from. Yarn won't hold the dread shape, so buying the dreading hair from shops is your best option. If you have a hair salon, they might sell you some, but you can also order it online.

To get these really vibrant dark colors do you need to use a much darker coloured yarn? From your videos it seems like the yarn looses a lot of it colour when you turn it into a weft and remove a lot of the fiber

how do you get your yarn wefts so long? mine always have a certain length they can't pass as the yarn itself is cut in smaller pieces inside the actual yarn or whatever..

my wefts measure around 4.5" at the most. it really depends on the yarn brand i think. some brands i get 3.5" others longer.
