A total of 10 Oral Questions were tabled in the Question Hours today. While the Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Energy and Natural Resources were asked four questions each, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trades was asked two questions.
Questions on the Government plans to address the Gungtongs issues, rationale behind the biased usage of Check Post Management System (CPMS), issues on ‘Tallwin Life Plan’ in the community, and on the need for uniformity in grant of approval for games and sports among Dzongkhags during annual celebration and religious programs were raised to the Minister for Home Affairs.
The Minister for Energy and Natural Resources was questioned on status of installation of solar energy in Lunana, latest status of the establishment of the Dorji Lung hydropower project, Government’s plan to upgrade from single-phase three-phase electric power in villages for the benefit of the people and the status of Kholongchhu project after the dissolution of Joint venture agreement with Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN).
Questions regarding Government’s plans, programs and strategies to promote local industries, import substitution and stimulate export, and government’s plan to resolve the problem of the exorbitant airfare were raised to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade.
