This is absolutely incredible, because if we can analize all instruments in a song including voices, we can make a 4,8 or 16 track recording of it to create a synthesized version of it to closely approximate the original recording, in order to save space, you then can use that midi file to convert it for other types of sound cards such as ,sound blaster, adlib, and convert those instruments to resambled fake or approximated instruments. This is fantastic.
