I could tell this program was super versatile but there's so much information right away, I was starting to feel overwhelmed. Hi Matthew. Hope you are well. Please are you able to help. I was wondering is it possible to connect the Akai mpc x to Denon DJ MCX8000. I want to be able to listen to the mpc x through a channel on my mixer. My passive speakers are currently powered through an amplifier and so too is my mixer. I'd appreciate if you could give me some advice on which leads to use and also if it's possible to connect the mpc x to a mixer via an amplifier or will i need to buy some active speakers. I've tried midi out from Akai to Denon RCA line in but didn't work. Many thanks.

@MatthewStratton3 жыл бұрын
MPC Live 1 is just as able to sample as the MPC Live 2 or software. You need to learn to count the beat of the sample, then you can chop it in time if you want and then you have a few options like time stretch or pitching in sample edit. There is a bunch of stuff you can do.

@MatthewStratton3 жыл бұрын
On the top of screen click the four squares to go to program edit. The make sure you select the pad. Then you can see a spot at the bottom of screen that says sample layers. There are four layers and you can control the pitch, pan and level for each layer there.

Hey Matt can't seem to match my sample to tempo or the bpm , any tips 🆘
@MatthewStratton3 жыл бұрын
There is a bunch of stuff you can do in MPC Beats with samples! If you trim your sample to an even number of bars you can time stretch it in sample edit to match the bpm of your project. Or, you can use tap tempo (TAP button at top of software) to try and match the bpm of your project to the sample. You can change the pitch of the sample in sample edit until it matches the speed of your project. To name a few....

is there a way to delete a program from the file browser. when re naming my programs after they are complete, it is saving a copy of the old and the new (duplicates) and i cant figure out how to get rid of the older program. thank you
@MatthewStratton3 жыл бұрын
In the actual browser? If you look at the top you can see the File directory. You can actually click on that and past it into a Filer Explorer in Windows to see your actual files if you want to delete something from your computer. If you mean in the project, you can right click and just delete the program out of the project.
