@@fincorrigan7139 the last thing I read about Native Instruments said they're switching most of their focus to VSTs. That was a few months ago. I think NI has the film scoring crowd in their pocket. Along with their incredibly high prices, I'm sure they're okay without a few thousand music producers buying their products.

*This innovation for this DAW running as a VSTI plugin is ingenious!* *I am still totally floored by the power and advantages it brings to my favorite DAW, Magix Music Maker.* Yes, I use that basic DAW but for a pro, you can do things so ridiculously fast vs any other DAW, I have no reason to return to the others I'm also a wizard in. MPC as a DAW and Plugin fills in every gap possible. Just as a drum machine VST-I, even for a thousand bucks, you wouldn't be able to get something better.

I played around with MPC - Beats for a few days now. A really great product. It's fun to work with and thats for free. I only have two small feature requests: 1. that you can select the installation paths of program and content manually during installation. 2. VST3 support. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. 😁

This is mad confusing. How do I even access the sounds in the first place. If I open up an empty project, I can't even input anything because there are no programs available to choose from.

Yeah, he skips over a lot of key components. You have to add them from the expansion browser. If you hit X, it will open the panel. It should be a list of things that comes with the program. When you drill down, you will see programs. Double click on the programs you want to use and they will automatically load into programs to choose from.

@@mooklane Nice! @ an 8 track limit I'd use it as a plugin. Not enough tracks to use as a standalone version (imo). I blow through 8 tracks with just the melody alone lol. Of course you could always merge tracks but I like the nondestructive nature of _relatively_ unlimited tracks. At the same time it is free so I'm definitely not complaining!

Track 5 for snare. Track 6 for open/closed hihat. Audio track 1 for lead vocals. Audio track 2 for guitar melody. Explain to me why tf you "blow through 8 tracks" just for a mf melody???? That is musically unnecessary, musically wasteful, and inefficient af. Furthermore, I can get away with for four midi tracks. Throw all my percussion on one track. Throw the chords and melody on one track. That's only if I were limited. I don't need all that bs. If your melody is strong as a mf ox, you don't need another one. Let alone a whopping 8 mf tracks for that ish. WTF are you doing? Orchestra melodies or some ish? Bahahahahaha. Throw one of your 8+ track melodies on your mf yt page so we can hear that ish. SMMFH

This is fantastic and in keeping with Logic’s 10.5 update - they had to do this - was made for customers like me. I have a renaissance on 1.9 - why should I pay £200 to get the new software which comes with the MPC One. This new Beats is fantastic because it stays up there in MPC sampling workflow and rivals logic but now you can use not just good MPC plugins but Pro Worldclass - this is where Alain needs to be - thanks to the team - don’t change the MPC formula ✅✅

I'm a rapper but I always wanted 2 make beats but it always looked so difficult, but I said the same thing about protools but I was forced 2 learn how 2 learn how 2 record & mix, but when I was watchinganother video on this when the dude hit record & also how it looked on screen, a light bulb came on in my head b/c it looked like how my sessions look in protools. I never felt that feeling b4 b/c that was the 1st time I seen someone make a beat like that with hardware b/c when I see most people make beats they do it with the software ware, & I always wanted a beat machine too but I always thought it was going 2 be like 10 bands. I'm so ready 2 try this out

Ok I downloaded all this and followed this video and I can't even get the track to play when you started it at 2:09 . My program does absolutely nothing. It doesn't recognize the midi I plugged in even though it's an Akai MPK mini. I'm pretty annoyed. I can't even log into the website after registering an account.

Around 7:17, they flash in the left upper quad the expansion pack "Trap Soul & LoFi Beats". You have buy it and load it from the expansion browser. Jan 2021 $9.99 (US). (Over in lower left in expansion browser window, it is last one in list under Programs, LoFi)

I'm working with the Akai MPK mini MK3, but i have a question: How do I stop the repeat of a song? for example I have a sample chopped & setup with a beat, everything is ok until I hit the spacebar to stop all the music, & when that happens, the sample continues to play for about 3 or 4 seconds then it stops. What can I do to relieve that?

In this video it looks and sounds like the preview of samples is playing automatically. On my program, when I click on a sample, it does not play? How can I preview/hear a sample? Is there a button for this? Now I have to move it over to actually hear the sound of it. I am coming from a daw less world and I don’t understand much! I see there is a lot of potential! Thank you very much Andy. I already installed the MPC Beats and I’m really impressed from the quality of sounds and samples and from the workflow which looks very fast and pleasant to use. Now I’m thinking to upgrade to the MPC 2 software. From Akai the only controller that I have is the Fire, for the FL Studio, and I’m wondering if it works with the MPC Beats, I will try it today anyway. So, I hope Akai to release soon a new midi keyboard controller with advanced integration with the MPC Beats and the MPC 2.0 software. My only question about the MPC Beats is that when I try to set the tempo at 90.00 it returns it to 120.00, so maybe this is a limitation of this basic version or I’m doing something wrong?

Alex, the DAW Tempo is the master which MPCBeats follows. Simply change FL's tempo and you're good. When using MPCBeats software standalone, you can set the master tempo in the program. .

Wow. I just bought Akai Mini Plus controller and i'm ready to rap the Snap - Rhythm is a dancer! I love mpc beats and akai mini plus. I also have a m-audio oxygen pro mini. It would be a plus if i add a second controller to my setup? Can i set an instrument (track) on one controller and another on the other controller?this way i can record in the same time 2 tracks? The F9 Instruments Pack needs to be installed seperatly. You can find the download link to the installer in the email you received under "Included Content". After installation, you should be able to find the F9 instruments in the Media browser. You can access the Media Browser in the Status Bar (bottom right of the program) or by pressing 'B' on your keyboard.
