Marlow is the real deal. I'm really happy to see Akai give him a spotlight. His KZbin videos have provided so much help and good vibes in addition to the amazing beats. There arent too many videos on KZbin that have replay value for me but I find myself going back to Marlow's videos multiple times daliy to learn something or just to hear the smooth beats he's made. His albums are in constant rotation in my home, in the backyard, in the car, on walks he's just really awesome at what he does. Marlow, the time is here where this art will not work for most,because AI is now picking up samples.The time is here to create with instruments and found sounds,because they are shutting down 'flipping samples'. I figured out a long time ago that samplers can do way more than just make collages from other people's work.I use my ASR 10 with samples I made, with efx chains I programmed, and as an efx unit when I spin vinyl live. Then I heard Herbert's 'Bodily Functions", an LP made entirely from found sounds, and I knew I was on the right path. Hopefully we will be able to just keep making beats with recorded material too,since for many of these artists, it breathed new life into their careers,.

I love this channel. I watch just about everything Marlow posts. I do think he has a problem with promoting the MPC while they push terrible software to the public. He has used the MPC for years and understands it well. For newcomers, the message boards are rife with complaints about the MPC software failing for completely esoteric reasons. Akai continues to push new features while the consumers struggle with their unfinished products. Professional musicians are guilty of pushing a bad product to consumers for their own financial gain. If professional musicians do not dare to objectively review the products they push, they are just as guilty as Akai for ripping off the consumer. The MPC has a rich heritage that is being prostituted for financial gain. Their products should be avoided until the company recognizes and fixes the many issues consumers have with the product.
