I would be very interested in an OPx4 something for the weekend 🙏 thanks for this

Totally agree, I think the OPx4 is a great sounding plugin but its hard for me to get my head around. :)

Thanks. This looks powerful - I’ve only scratched the surface of this and the other plug-ins. This will help me explore it. The plug ins get a tough press sometimes owing to the cost and some reviews are a little superficial: “I don’t like the presets”. Thanks again for diving in to it more thoroughly. Hope Akai sponsor you!!

Thanks. They don’t sponsor me. I don’t fit their mould.

Good Demo, thanks. The summer sail is on , you got me buying this one , fortunately at half price. I have already put op4 x on my mpc x. I think we share the same city in the west country if i'm not mistaken

Is there any way of doing a SuperSaw with Fabric? And further, is there a convincing way to get a supersaw at all with current Akai standalone? I find Hype is not quite there yet :(

Where do I get this plugin from? I checked the akai site but no joy?

Does this sound pretty similar in standalone vs on the computer? I’m going to be using this probably 100% in standalone.
@TUBEDIGGA Жыл бұрын
It shouldn't sound noticeably different at all, it's not being subjected to any additional processing in controller mode. Controller mode just gives you the ability to use VST plugins (effects and/or instruments), no limit (aside from the overall program limit in one project which is 128) on the amount of internal plugin instruments you can instantiate (as opposed to the maximum of 8 in standalone), increased RAM memory and of course allowing you to manage your files stored on any removable media connected to the MPC hardware.

@tubedigga is there a workaround to get the lfo to only trigger once? Would also like to be able to assign the lfo to multiple parameters, maybe if they added a switch for amp/cut off/resonance etc.
@TUBEDIGGA2 жыл бұрын
You need the Akai Force for this. It has an envelope follower which you can assign to particular parameters as opposed to the fixed ones in drum programs
@TUBEDIGGA2 жыл бұрын
Another way would be to send a cc message to your MPC from another machine that has LFOs, such as an Elektron Octatrack

@@TUBEDIGGA thanks for the response. Hopefully it will be added to the Mpc one firmware in the future……? Also, this might be a daft question, is there a basic sine wave on fabric? All the oscillators seem to be tri/saw/squ etc.
@fruitytube12 жыл бұрын
Where is the Fabric VST? I don’t seem to have it avaiable on MPC ONE 🤔
@TUBEDIGGA2 жыл бұрын
You have to purchase it then register it in your machine. Then you can download the actual installation files.

Hey Tube, have a question. I know you've been focusing on the mpc primarily and that's all good. I have an MPC Live II and it's great but I'm still on the fence in terms of going 100% dawless. How do you go about using long WAV files like nature or environmental ambient clips that can last 3 minutes or longer? Normally on a DAW you would just drag it into a track and see the transport bar move over the WAV clip. But how would you approach this on an MPC? Would you just treat them as samples and trigger them via MIDI or just avoid using longer wavs?
@TUBEDIGGA2 жыл бұрын
I’d load 4 short sections of the ambient audio as an example, maybe 5 seconds long each. Then I’d get them to loop smoothly, preferably using ping pong mode (if the sample in question allows it because it may have material that sounds obvious when playing in reverse). Then I would add the samples to four different pads and set different pitches so when you play them all together, they fall in and out of phase and constantly evolve. It’s the same technique I used to use when I was a game sound designer working with very limited RAM memory. This is your sound bed/background/backdrop, then you can add four different one shots of some description to one pad and set the play mode to random and spot these sounds over a longer period, again using things like randomisation on pitch, filter and volume. Good idea for a tutorial - I may just cover this next 👍

@@TUBEDIGGA This a 💎 of a recommendation. I never thought of just copying it to 4 other pads lol. But, sometimes I need someone to point out the obvious. Crazy appreciated. 👊🫡✌️
