I am doubting between this solution and a SD to Compact Flash adapter. The benefit of the Compact Flash adapter is that you can easily take out the SD card without unscrewing things for transferring to pc. Since you don't use the slow USB 1 port, this is a lot faster for transferring files from/to a pc. I'm still wondering if this internal solution would give faster access times on the MPC 1000 itself, but I don't think so.

@@dektro Since it changes with performances of SD card or an adapter, it does not understand. However, probably, SD+ adapter and the CF card will be quicker than HDD.

My apologies for not being clear. Does your internal hdd with the compact flash move around when you hit the pads? I ask because the 2.5 hdd fit snug inside the machine.

I think that there is no worry because it is firmly inserted in the connector. If you are uneasy, you can fix the gap by filling it in something.

Please install OS2XL and try on OS2XL again. Even if OS2XL does not have a password, functions other than a save can be used freely.

I think the biggest upgrade would be if the MPC 1000 can use SSD drives. Is there a adapter that can work compatible to the MPC 1000 when you want to use a SSD drive instead of SD or HDD drive?

Have a search for peta SSD I didn't have much luck with ide2sd Ide to cf to SD has worked flawlessly though and now loads and saves smoothly and doesn't lock up when auditioning samples.

I upgraded my MPC TO THE 128G. I DID THE WHOLE UNLOCKING/LOCKING thing w/ the SD CARD cause my mpc was freezing. I was successful, up until certain buttons function Stopped working, and then they would start working again, or. Mp would freeze up again. Can someone shed light on this, i don't want to mess up my mp.

I think that it will be a problem of SD card if satisfactory when using CF card. I think that it is a problem which arises by the fault of SD card or SD card adapter.

If SD card adapter was attached to the slot of a hard drive, please choose "HARD DISK" in the "Load" field.

I am having the same issue. I go to Load > Hard Disk and then press Window and then F2 to Format and I get the "Insert Memory Card!!" error. This is with the red MPCStuff board using a 128GB MicroSD card.
