Great demonstration, thanks. I'm using one for an alarm system where I use a trip wire attached to a pull pin that operates a micro switch to send a 12 volt signal to trigger the board and sending an operating voltage to sirens, lights and GSM dialer. Now, here's the thing, It works most times but occasionally does not and I have a theory that the time length of the signal, on occasions, may not be long enough. A trip event pulls the pin out super quick and, once pulled, the micro switch instantly returns to its normally open state. I suspect that if the micro switch closed circuit condition is only in the order of milliseconds, it may not satisfy the boards signal parameters. What do you think? Ps. I have just modified the micro switch assembly to remain closed circuit after activating, until reset, so I am testing a few more times to check my theory out.

You do have to have an external trigger voltage. Simply using a switch doesn't work. When using USB power there's a 3.2vdc across the power terminals but it's not enough to use as trigger voltage. As such I think USB power is only really useful if you are using P3-1 or 3-2.

The "standby" current requirement is 20mA, and the "Relay Energized" requirement is 60mA per the datasheet on mpjaonline's website. So a typical "9Volt" battery wouldn't last long. Even a high-capacity brand new fully charged lithium-ion "9V" form-factor battery only has about 800mAh capacity. So if the board was in "standby" ALL the time, the lithium battery would last about 800mAh/20mA=40 hours...less than 2 days. (note: a lithium "9V" battery is actually a maximum of 8.4Volts and can be used down to about 6.0V)

Does it have a memory? In other worlds i would like to power it up and it automatically counts down the pre-programmed time till the relay switches? I have a large DC amplified speaker, i wish to add speaker delay protection in series with one of the speaker wires, one unit for treble and one for bass. I would use the double vs. but they only come with the 10A relay.

Thank you very much for this video. I am trying to use programming mode P3.2 (OFF and ON in a cycle, without trigger). However, it always starts in OFF mode. I need it to start ON, then OFF (I am using the relay with a separate timer that has a minimum period of one minute. I need the relay to limit this to, say, 10 seconds. This way, I can set the main timer to power up the relay, and the relay stays on for 10 secs, then shuts off). As it is, I get a mode flashing for a few secs on power-up, then it starts the loop in OFF. The loop works OK, but all this delay at startup is frustrating. Any way to set P3.2 to start in the ON position, no off? There are no instructions. Thanks!
