I love the SS version but wanted to try out a MPM because I love this version of Prime but after seeing this review it seems like they kinda dropped the ball in a few places. I didn't notice the cat ears before and that actually takes away from the design of alt mode!

I'm a little late to comment, but I just received this figure, and I gotta say I love him. He's a rad looking truck, a kick-ass robot, and I don't have to write off the entire afternoon to transform him. When I got my first Optimus for my birthday back in 1985, I think it took all of two minutes to transform him without instructions. It didn't bother me that the truck wasn't a perfect scaled down model of a real Freightliner, and I gave a steaming turd about the robot mode not being "cartoon accurate." Isn't a fun toy the entire premise behind transformers in the first place? I have several third-party figures, and they are awesome. I researched every Bumblebee Movie OP I could find, analyzing the trade-offs between scale vehicle mode, movie-accurate robot mode, what other people liked and didn't like, etc. Then I thought about how I rarely take my "accurate" Transformers out of my display case to fiddle with, and I decided that fun would take precedence over accuracy. I also really like the chest-plates on this figure, mainly because of the sun-visors that wrap around the main windscreens. It's a small detail, but I think they make both robot and truck mode look bad-ass. There's room for improvement, but that's been every Transformer since 1984, and the "flawless/accurate" examples we've seen over the years look great in your display cabinet, but let's get real; they're not fun to play with. I'm having as much fun with this figure now as I did when my dad got me Optimus when I was nine. I have no regrets.

I believe in Wei Jiang Supremacy † (really, definitely my favorite mpm Optimus). I really love how this Prime looks, I just don't like the ears in truck mode lol. Other than that, one helluva enjoyable figure, take that Toy World!

I returned mine to target. That single joint knee bend, the point the knee bends at, the eyes, the hands, and the elbows are all not worth the $125 asking price. If this had been....$60, maybe. Sorry, I don't see this figure being worth it at all.

I’m gunna be totally honest, I don’t know why everyone’s been hating on this figure (I get it, the cat ears aren’t all that great, but that’s why upgrade kits are a thing lol.) I just recently got MPM 12, and the figure is actually pretty awesome! The quality and sturdiness of the figure is actually more solid compared to some of the other MPM figures that are out rn. I am definitely thinking about purchasing the DNA Designs upgrade kit when it comes out tho. Would love to improve those arms a little bit and make him a little more posable.

Is a really nice figure really, if you can afford paying 180 bucks for a 25 cm prime Sadly im not one of those "lucky" people that can found this prime for 100 bucks or less

@@renzoalagon really? I got it off of TFSAFARI. Sadly I do agree the price range is kind of ridiculous. I hear that someone is making a third party one tho, with a bunch of improvements. It’s probably gunna cost less too.

The "ears" as someone pointed out are supports for the exhausts / smoke stacks irl. I remember seeing them one sine irl 🚚
