Once upon a Time did live action characters right. It was like the animation of the film came to life. They chose perfect actors and made their costumes 100% movie accurate. Macintosh, Mcguffin and Dingwall look exactly as they did in the movie and the Witch was on spot. Loved this show, so sad that season 7 wasn't their best.

I definitely think she’s related to Merida in some way. She can’t directly be her grandmum as she was alive during the time of the ancient kingdom as she gave Mordu the power to become a bear, but she could definitely be an ancestor or the matriarch of Clan Dun Brock. But I suppose she could be Merida’s grandmum and learned how to manipulate time to go back into the past to aid Mordu, for whatever reason to change fate and destiny. Whatever the case may be, I definitely am willing to believe the witch is related to Merida. We didn’t ever hear of her wanting to help Mordu undo his curse, but she went out of her way to ensure Merida knew a way to reverse what she had done. That gives me a strong sense of a blood bond.

The witch is pretty odd for pagan priestess. But I'm glad Merida did learn a good lesson. I think the witch was teaching her never to negotiate with terrorists. Anyways, Merida looks really cute with the crown on.

She was teaching her more than that, I think. When Merida and Mulan found Zelena and Arthur with the helm, they realized the truth.....that Merida's father DIDN'T take the magic helm into battle. He cast it into the sea and his warriors followed him to war because they believed in their king. The Witch wanted Merida to be a Queen her people could believe in.....in war and in peace. She became that Queen.

Still, love that her brothers are sitting at the same spot they had in the movie. On the same tiny bench. Also very glad they chose the same universe as the movie for this like they did with the Frozen storyline instead of what they did with some of the other stories. As a big childhood fan of the movie, I think this story adds perfectly to the end of the movie's story. Taking it to a more serious tone but still keeping it familiar. And Merida's actrice is gorgeous...

you forget that brave was based in 14th Century Scotland back then there were mother as young as 13 having babies so yes it is more than likely that there would of been only a small gap, also when a clan ruler dies It does not go to the partner it will go to the heir when they are of age, until then it would of been her mother.

There is a difference between Queen Consort and Queen Regnant. A Queen Consort is the wife of a reigning king and that is the role Elinor had while Fergus was alive. A Queen Regnant is a female monarch by blood who reigns in her own right just the same as a king would. This is Merida's inherited role as the eldest child of Fergus and his successor. Elinor as the widow of Fergus and the mother of Merida would now be considered the Queen Dowager or the Queen Mother.

Regina isn't 300+ if she'd never cast the curse she'd only be in her sixties (give or take). Also, for it isn't so much the casting of Elinor, it's that in season 6 we see that they can use makeup to age the actors fairly well, but they didn't.

Mulan,Elsa,Anna,Snow White,Merida,Hansel and Gretel,Robin Hood,Peter Pan, and so many more are in one universe. Multiple worlds. Like how Cruella De Vil,Wendy Darling and her brothers are from a realm called 1920s England. A realm stuck in the 1920s. Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde and Alice (from Alice in Wonderland)are from Victorian England. Stuck in the victorian era. There's a realm called Land of the 19th Century where The count of Monte Cristo events took place. Also probably where Zorro is from. Not all the realms are copies. There are magic kingdoms like Agrabah (Where Aladdin and Jasmine are from) and Arendelle (Where Elsa and Anna are from). There are also alternate versions of the realms. A few months later Regina casts a curse that takes everyone (in their kingdon since so many others were left) to our world. Their memories are gone and they are given new lives. They are hidden in a small city called "Storybrooke". The twist is, everyone is unhappy. Hansel and Gretel are seperated from their father,Cinderella can't be with her prince,Red Riding Hood and Granny's relationship gets bad, ect. Before that Snow White and Prince Charming send their daughter to our world here. She is destined to break the curse and save everyone at 28 years old. Emma lives a crappy life. She is always switching around foster homes and eventually becomes a criminal. She meets a guy and they become partners. He abandons her so she is captured by police. At 18 years old she gives birth to a child and decides she can't take care of him and send him to the foster care. 10 mpre years later he returns and haves her come with him to Storybrooke. Of course she doesn't believe at first but things get interesting.
