for Cii, can I also say the that the rate of change of h is increasing at a decreasing rate on the interval t1 and t2? is that sufficient or do I have to show
@piggy50576 ай бұрын
do you need to use decimals or could i keep fractions as the variables
@mporinchak6 ай бұрын
Some problems specifically will say to give a decimal approximation. But if it doesn’t fractions are totally fine

For part C (i), if the question asked for the interval from J to K, would it be negative since it is below the midline, or do the y-values literally have to be negative numbers?
@mporinchak6 ай бұрын
No still positive. Ci is asking about the output values. The values are still positive even though below the midline. If the midline was y=0 then they would negative. But the values themselves are still positive in this problem.

For Part Ci, the correct answer is b. I took the mock test and the answer key said b.

Must have been a different question. Because from K to P in the graph the function values are positive and increasing which is choice A
@AlexGold-wo7kh6 ай бұрын
@@mporinchak But isn't graph decreasing because it concaves down? That's what you said in in part ii
@mporinchak6 ай бұрын
Part i (the multiple choice question) is asking about the function function values which are the outputs. They are increasing and positive from K to P. Part ii is asking about how the rates of changing are changing. Because concave down the rate of changing decreasing over the interval K to P. So it’s a matter of is the question asking about function values or rates of change over the interval.

for B, would h(t) = 6sin(10pi(t+0.05))+20 also work?
@mporinchak6 ай бұрын
You would need the a value to be -6. If you start with a horizontal translation right 0.05 notice the sine curve goes down to its min first so that’s require a reflection across the midline. So you need the negative in front of the 6

for Cii how are the rates decreasing?
@mporinchak6 ай бұрын
In that interval the graph is concave down. The rate of change are getting less and less.

@@mporinchak what values show it getting less positive? so sorry, I might just not be seeing it correctly.
@spicynoodlez94156 ай бұрын
@@nuhaibrahim7929 for me its easy just to see if its concave down the rates of change are always decreasing

Why would you consider points K to P as t1 and t2 and not points F and G?
@mporinchak6 ай бұрын
Because that is what the question stated were the two point to analyze. On the actual exam it could be another set of two points. But on this question it said K to P. Does that make sense?
