Mr. Alan, you truly have the vision. Clearly, you know how to articulate your views on the betterment of the nation. It is not different from the former or current leaders. What is lacking is the will to actualize it. An independent will not survive the presidency; won't survive a full term. The Legislature will easily boot him/her out of the presidency with no confidence vote. That path you advocating seem best to me but sorry, I don't think the nation is prepared at this time of lack of maturity in our political discourse on radio and TV. Good Luck though. Give the leaders something to think deeply about. You can retire in the future as a consultant for the nation's leadership.

Excellent interview. I side with the decision to go Independent. That one need not wallow in stupidity even if the stupidity stems from something you were once a part of. It's clear what Alan stands for and it's about time Ghanaians got serious about governance and abiding by the instruments that make governance work and ensure the protection of the Ghanaian and the State, as opposed to party antics and the theatre of cowardice and lawlessness. We've got a country to run. And thanks to globalisation, we've got foreign factions to contest with as well. Ghanaians need to SIT UP! I know where my vote is going and its not to a coward (Bawumia) or a showboat (Ken - though he and Alan could make a decent pair) or someone who claims to have "learnt his lesson", without renewed policies or agenda (Mahama).
