The first hatch you opened was indeed components, just components that are not in yet. However, all of the remaining components are there, but they are on the ship's roof, as i found out when trying it out.

The Nomad is great for missions like this, as you can tractor from pilot seat and put the packages on the bed - and it has a quantum drive

The MPUV TRACTOR is such a cool ship and they really nailed its controls. Nowadays we palletize many parcels so they can be moved quickly; I hope in the future we'll have a similar mechanism in SC - especially taking the mission with 10 parcels is an exercise in patience :D

It's cool, but wholley useless currently given that it has 2 tractors but no cargo grid, no quantum drive and requires bespoke containers, and has nowhere near the control as the Argo SRV or 300 series (with tractor) as its tether easily breaks. It's only benefit is being cheap and fitting inside XXS landing pads/hangars. I guess would be used planetside or around stations to move small cargo containers around (very carefully apparently), maybe load/unload the Hull series? It makes for a cool NPC ship though

​@@explorer47422 But it has a cargo grid: you can store up to 16 SCU in the back with the rear turret. Any cargo container will do. It will attach them to the 'ceiling' (just make sure you are in turret view). Or you can (carefully) move 32SCU with its front tractor beam. Basically it's the smallest 'cargo' ship without QD and with a much better handling than what the MPUV's had before. It's designed to load / unload but I can imagine bringing one also on ERT missions to salvage the cargo. Or if you bring a large ship to a bunker put a 2SCU underneath the tractor and use that to drop it off close to the bunker to collect all the loot (when that is working again) and return to your ship later. Or in a multiplayer salvage scenario to use one to unload the cargo of Vultures into a larger ship like the Caterpillar. When the purchasable Mole/Prospector bags have been fixed (they're in game but bugged atm) I can see having one mother ship carrying empty Mole/ Propector bags that you can swap with full ones using the Tractor. So you can continue mining as a group. And like you say it's cheap and has only 10 second spawn time. Ideal if you need to get to your docked ship and the Docking Port is bugged out again. It also has much lower signatures than any stealth ship but higher than hover bikes. Not sure if it can be used against hostile turrets but we'll see 🙂

​​@@explorer47422 Yeah, that thing is the equivalent of a forklift. Its purpose is to move around stuff in local area and to load/unload cargo containers. It actually has a carho grid that might only work on Containets. Considering the pictures on the star citizen site it can attach thosd containers.

I'd try to use Pisces for this mission, hover above the box, open back door, use pyro tool to move box inside. PS Pisces is very good for such operations. I once used it to breach Klescher from backdoor )) Flought into Klescher mineshaft, hovered near balcony, unloaded 20 small scu boxes, made a pile of them to reach tunnel's exit ))

You know it's not that important at the end of the day, but the MPUV Tractor is a huge power creep on the MPUV Cargo. Like even the intended use of loading goods onto ships which makes some sense like you may want to just drop off supplies that you want to keep in a snub hanger like a crate for storing spare gear. You can't really get a cargo box in there any other way so way not. But the Cargo can only fit 2 SCU and it requires someone extra to unload where the Tractor could drop off so many more boxes and not even really need to land. I really liked the idea of the Cargo because direct transfer of goods and supplies is nice and it's easier to have a snub to carry things in bulk rather than move everything by hand but like. This isn't exactly game breaking or a big deal it's just a little tragic I think that of the few snubs they have in game they'd made one completely obsolete.

On the first box, I think the water physics got in the way of getting the box out of the water. It probably would be better to use a larger crate to put the single boxes in and then transport it, for a more content variation.

Yes, I couldn't do that, and the back tractor needs to be in the turret which means you have to stop the front one

the idea is that you would tractor the package in the front 1st, switch to the turret, tractor that, exit the turret and then fly. I will test it out today.

its easier just to eradicate the inhabitants of these outposts with a ship, the new precision aim plus target mode with freecam makes that realy easy. and then grab the boxes by hand.
