Do you know when the line north of the Baldwin diamond to Traverse City was abandoned, or why it was abandoned? There is a user who comment on www.abandonedrails.com stating that a bridge over the Manistee River was dismantled in 1955, so my best guess is that it was torn up somewhere in the late 1950's to early 1960's.

The line was abandoned around 1950 in favor of using the Manistee & Northeastern's route from Manistee to Traverse City instead. The bridge maintenance was the biggest factor in deciding to abandon it.
