Adabuga was supposed to be among those who took the 31st December action but because of his cowardice did not join the troops that night he later joined the group at the Broadcasting House where JJ was announcing the coup. Please anybody who cares to know about the 31st December 1981 coup must go back to play the tape of the 2002 national reconciliation especially all what Bombadia Martin Kudjo said at the national reconciliation and it is a beautiful story to listen to and a good lesson to learn in this world

We Ghanaians like to escape into forgiveness and reconciliation because we believe in sweeping our dirty issues under the sleeping mat, only to suffer the nightmares for turning blind eyes to injustice. We have taken the nation wrestled from the greedy hands of the European for granted. He shouldn't even have the right to run for office, create a political party, or meddle in the leadership of Ghana but they let him because Ghanaians are afflicted with 'White Worship'. Rawlings is the curse we carry because we let him roam scot-free after murdering fellow Ghanaians and even a pregnant judge. He is the one sitting on our prosperity as a nation because we Ghanaians are harboring a murderer and passing him off as a righteous man who deserves reconciliation.

Yes all of those guys who took undue advantage of both June 4th and 31st December revolution and committed atrocities in the country will now come on radio and TV spew lies because they know a lot of people including you minus me do not know much about things that happened in Ghana during that time and because they were the ones running the show so they can say anything and nobody can ask questions Such character are many and they are always around their leader is that one who carries documents around proving so called facts and activities in which he never took part if you listen closely to them you could see their main problem is Rawlins so that is the method everybody should use to identify their lies . When confronted about it at the NRC by Riad, he said 'whatever I did, I did it on the orders of your boss'. So what he meant was, on 31st December/ January 1st 1982, when there was absolute radio silence because they didnt want the defending military intelligence to know where their troops were, Rawlings, in his planning of a coup, asked this guy to drive to the La-Teshie road and run over a woman and 2 children who they KNEW would be there?

@@TheIrisE Boakye Gyan today claims to have rescued Rawlings from Special branch. He did not. He was not even on the battlefield until it was over. He uses that lie to give himself credibility and make it seem like the executions of the Generals was because they had done coup, which is ludicrous. Akuffo ended the SMC government to allow for elections to take place, so his taking over from Acheampong wasnt a coup, as much as an end to the coup. Boakye Gyan's argument is BS. The executions were done because those were the leaders of the regime at who the murderous rage of June 4th was turned. Had they not been sacrificed, the soldiers would have continued taking intiative and turning their anger against market women, and anyone they held responsible. So the AFRC had to make choices. But see, Boakye Gyan needs that excuse to make Rawlings seem to have betrayed his own principles by coming back in 1981. This is how these people lie. What they all have in common, is power they believed THEY should have, that they were not given, and that they now would rip into Rawlings for having had. Read this and see if it doesnt answer your questions. Now juxtapose that with what he's saying, and you might see WHY he says it. thevillager265.wordpress.com/2020/06/19/17th-june-when-giwa-struck/

I just stumbled into Andy TV and have watched most of your postings, starting with the the one with Adabuga. I have to say that all your interviews has been great and worth watching. I really like how you, as the host, carries yourself on your beautiful set and setting. What beats though, is that....it seems you personally hand picked these obviously bitter guests to come and vent and portray JJ as the only culprit. Makes me wonder if you personally have some scores to settle!!! I'd love to subscribe to the show, and keep watching and looking out for future postings,.... only if you could bring JJ's side for half the time you've given all these guys.

I lived through that era and therefore witnessed the worst of human nature in times of crisis. Rawlings would remain as the most wicked man who ever existed in Ghana. His so called revolution was just a conduit for him to exert his narcissistic syndrome on others. He was power hungry, wanted to be rich thus his hatred for rich individuals. He was also bitter and frustrated because his alleged father didn’t want anything to do with him. After let the blood flow slogans ,physical tortures, emotional abuses unwarranted curfews, murders, missing persons and extreme famine and poverty, what did he achieve? Some shallow minded people would say he brought democracy. This was never in his bucket list until the Western world forced him to relinquish that authoritarian power of his. He later founded the NDC and it’s so ironic that he was later outwitted by his own people as some people might say “ The hanger has been hanged “ .

Bottom line - Rawlings used young, naive, impressionable and in some cases intellectually inept soldiers as a means to an end. Why do you think no high ranking officer was part of that coup? Its like a highly skilled architect who designs a building and hires lower-skilled workers to do the physical work required to erect the building. Do you also think it was coincidental all the soldiers he selected were Northerners? He used the Northerners because they fit into his lying narrative of the coup being an action to free Limman from the clutches of other politicians in the PNC. These young and naive young soldiers at that time, thought they were doing one for their own tribesman.

@@Ms0859 Was it propaganda that, fueled by adrenaline, you run over a woman and her 2 small children with an armored car? And at the NRC, you answered Riad calling you out on this by saying 'Everything you did, you were ordered to by JJ?' Ghana's stability, the quality of our army as of 1999, the recovery of our economy and longevity of our democracy has everything to do with the Rawlings era. The instability brought about by the 1966 coup that repeated again and again until the PNDC, these aren't things a low level soldier will understand. This was the combined impact of people who put this country's interests above their own, and were willing to die for the country. Did you? You may have been in this for adventurism, but I highly doubt the likes of Rawlings were. The evidence, no matter how you twist it, is in their legacy, as is with yours. In the end, what will Adabuga's contribution to Ghana's history? What will be the contribution of the 'zombie'? You are small man who was thinking with his stomach when you joined forces with those attempitng to take power during Jiwa's coup, and you got your ass handed to you, deservedly. Trying to lie about it just makes you seem smaller, to those of us who can see what you really are. What did Giwa and co say their reasons for taking over was when they announced it at broadcasting. Compare that with what Rawlings said during June 4th or 31st? Both times, he had full support of much of the armed forces. Did Giwa and co? Did you? Who is doing propaganda now? The facts speak for themselves. Your actions failed because they werent justified. Rawlings' actions got massive support each time. Until his death, he was still the most popular former president then living, and many average Ghanaians would have voted for him if he could run for elections. Your lies won't change that. They simply expose your lack of a soul. You may have no conscience to see your wrong. But the Facts of history expose you, Sir.

" Revenge is mine ", says the Lord. With all the atrocities Rawlings committed, I just don't understand why Ghanaians tolerate him. I was in Ghana during the 1981 coup.My whole family was taken in an army truck to an army depot and beaten up because the tenants in our house were charged 20 cedis a month for rent. All of us (women) were released after the beating, but my brother was detained. I couldn't wait to return to the U.S.with bruises all over my legs. During the months following the coup, some of my family members houses were raided by soldiers, and all that they had worked for was taken from them. They, and their descendants never recovered. Many business men and women lost their businesses. Now, Rawlings has acquired all this wealth, and enjoying it with his family. Many young men and women, and even little children were left fatherless because he killed the people he envied, or didn't like. Well done Andy for airing this program. The youth who follow him need to know what kind of man Rawlings is.

Did Adabuga reveal in the interview that he was charged for murdering a senior custom officer at Takoradi and was remanded by the court to Nsawam prison where he later broke jail and escape with the help of Gywa and the notorious Amedeka on the 19th June 1983 ? He is still a fugitive as he is sitting there even they killed a senior prison officer at the Nsawam prison gate .

God has made sure this man is still living so the truth shall be told. I am one person who wants to live long enough to witness the end of Rawlings for I know there is a living God. Rawlings is evil but the sad thing is that people born in 1980s onwards know him as the only head of state in Ghana so they don't know any better because no one has been bold enough to tell them about the Ghanaian Hitler who is Jerry John Rawlings.

Actually I think it might be more Kuffuor's money, or some other politicians who kept him alive when he fled this country after trying to oust the PNDC and failed. After his 'testimony' at NRC didn't have Rawlings jailed as planned, someone else might still be feeding him so he can continue to be paid to tell stories. But God had nothing to do with Adabuga.

General Asare upon Rawlings order got shot by Adabuga. Akatapore later loaded some bullets into him before he died finally. When Adabuga shot him, he didn't die right there. Akatapore bullets finished the onslaught and put his breathe away. So Adabuga contributed to General Asare murder. He can be quiet on that - there was Akatapore and two others. I like Adabuga's overall remorse but the shame with General Asare murder he somewhat can't openly confess was the common friends he Adabuga and G. Asare had. Akatapore had a beef with G. Asare so it was easy for him to load the later bullets that killed General Asare. Adabuga didn't want to do it but he couldn't disregard the order from Rawlings. So he took Akatapore along and first shot General Asare, left the scene and whiles the General lay in pain- Akatapore finished him off.

Hi Adabuga, you are really the best person I have heard telling the whole truth about Rawlings, Akata Apore and the whole story. Your version is what I have been told by my friend Malik. You’re really wonderful as far as the story goes. It was a mess. I would like to meet you. Limann’s overthrow planning had too many Northerners involved and for such a huge operation, you needed to involved other natives. Limann made a huge mistake for allowing the overthrow. Had Limann been experienced, he should have known the consequences of a coup detat. The Northerners were used because they could be much trusted when acting together than having to be with others like Akan and others they couldn’t trust. You’re very bold and truthful.

No wonder they’ve been together inseparably all this while. Bound by covenant of 🩸 of innocent pple. No wonder the current NDC detests them. The force of the universe will definitely bring your own day on your heads. Heartless revolution pple! The soul of the motherland will cry against you till your last breaths.

What Mansions did Rawlings have? He had a house in the Volta region he had been building since 1970s, and only finished when he was president in the 1990s. The office at Ridge he was given for his foundation, And his wife's house at Agyiringanor, which she built over 10years. If you don't know, ask. Don't make conjectures. You are accusing people.. At least Respect the process of research first.
