Many people forget that Ali wasn't allowed to fight for almost 4 years of what would surely have been his absolute prime as a boxer/ he may have never lost a fight if that weren't the case !!!###

I cried like a baby when I watched a too proud Ali take the worst beating I've ever seen when he stood in the ring against Larry Holmes. I believe it was the damage from that debacle which caused his Parkinson's. The saddest day in boxing history.

It was sad but he took it as a man and refused to go down...on the other hand Larry got a few years later a worst beating from a much younger Tyson, and Larry did go down....and even Trevor Berbick got a worse assbeating from the same Mike Tyson..so you see Ali lost both to this men but he lost fighting on his feet and they lost vertical on the back..that's why he's the greatest..
