If BMW were aiming for the S Class Coupé, I think they missed the mark. As a standalone car, it's great and the interior is nice, but it just doesn't compare to the S for similar money. Such a shame.

I got to see this car when it first arrived at the dealership and I got to sit in it. It looks even better in person. The seats are REALLY comfortable and still hold you in place. The interior is a complete redesign and fantastic! I wasn't sure about the looks and body style changes, but it's growing on me!

Omar H dude. This has nothing to do with Chinese screens. Just admit Mercedes engineers think outside the box. If I’m paying over 100k for a car in 2019, the interior better match the price tag. This interior looks like a corolla. I understand bmw focus more on driving and performance but Jesus their interiors just suck. They are like 2000 years behind everybody

I own a 6 series and honestly it looks the same. Sure different lights, diffusor and stuff but the body design is still 6. Looks damn good.

I’ve driven the classic 850i. It was the first V12 i drove and i had a blast driving it. Glad to see the interior is so similar and i like the outside look of the new one better.

You touched on one point that really appeals to me, and that is BMW have taken the bold decision not to make every successive model bigger than the last. Indeed many new models immediately rule themselves out for me because they are just ridiculously supersized and make the drivers look like Ronnie Corbett is behind the wheel... And although their design dept are currently getting a lot of stick I think this is a really attractive shape too, particularly in this colour.

There is no way this car can go up against the Aston's the Bentley's the S Coupe's or the 911's, it just does not have the street presents to me of those "and Others" available at that price range. I am a BMW enthusiast and this 8 series just looks too much like an upgraded 6 series. From a distance many people couldn't tell the difference, which you cant say about the previous ones i mentioned. It's just not UNIQUE enough... Shame.
