What is the purpose of watching (or listening) to someone else reacting to Mr Ballen’s video? He’s an excellent story teller so it doesn’t seem to need the extra “hmmms” and “okays” etc. This is a genuine question. This is my first time with this; and to me it seems distracting and annoying. Am I just missing the positives?

Unless you’ve been under a rock for 2 decades (which it seems like you have) reaction videos have always been on KZbin so this isn’t some “new” thing all of a sudden. Reaction videos enable people to connect to strangers, if done respectfully, in a positive way. It’s rooted in relatability, connection, and also the human enjoyment of having an opinion.

@@JCStellar Thank you for your less than kind assumption; but no; in the last 2 decades I have raised a family while managing a nursing career.. both equally challenging & rewarding. You’ll forgive me for not having a lot of time for KZbin. I enjoy reaction videos in other media so I’m aware they’re not “some new thing”.. I just don’t see the point in interrupting such a great storyteller; but to each his own. Maybe try a little more kindness and a little less snark next time someone asks a genuine question.
