@@GimmeACiggyYaGronk The character of Zazu had already been designed by Ellen Woodbury, and she called me unexpectedly very early one Saturday and said if I wanted to meet the voice actor i should get over to the studio commissary. We all got a free breakfast, producer Don Hahn carried on a conversation with Rowan Atkinson (whom I had never heard of before) while the rest of us listened and after coffee we went over to the sound studio and watched him do some of his lines. He was very serious and a little pissed when he didn't feel he was reading his lines quite right, and tried different inflections with each take. This was in 1993 I think. I'm retired now, and miss those days. Ellen is doing sculpture in Montana
