One light was lost, but a new light was born. Pat, you see this light even from up in the sky, don't you? How dazzling and beautiful. For some reason I can't stop crying.

Wow wow wow, she just gets better. Such an exciting talent. Whatever good things come her way, it will be much deserved, for Yoyoka, and all of her family. Their love and support have raised a gift to the music world, and a gift to the world in general. Be well. Wow.

How many times can we say this but it is so true. LEVEL UP YOYOKA. Next level. Once again! Not just the vocabulary but the style and skill as she expresses her self I also think thos is the most entertaining improvisational offerings from Yoyoka since her improve with the grown up child prodigy guitarist. Love the way she shifts easily from matched to traditional grip and back with again with ease! One hand chokes on the cymbals a la Sugarfoot Moffat ~ pure showmanship! Her footwork was powerful. Her use of dynamics was so effective! Astonishing performance!

Maybe a little bit exaggerated, but not too much! I compared her video of fortysix and two by Tool with the performance of the other currently famous prodigy on KZbin, who covered the exact same song. Yoyoka's playing is often described as 'clean' - and that is correct. To begin with, she chose the best sounding drum manufacturer FOR THIS SONG. But that's not all... I noticed something else: A big part of music is repetition. When I did not get a little phrase she played, the first time, I concentrate on the reocurrence a few seconds later - but she did NOT simply COPY her phrase. She played something VERY similar, but not 100% copy. Jet the function in the song stays the same. THAT IS what I call genius❗️

Constantly amazed at the power Yoyoka plays with! Not to mention her accuracy and talent. I sometimes wonder if when she was born, she already had a pair of drum sticks in her hands. Keep on rockin' kid!!

@Glen.Black. Жыл бұрын
Don't worry! As you know she can just play anything she wants. Her tastes go back and forth all over the place, a good thing. Her roots are in Rock and Funk. I think jazz just offered up an opportunity she took advantage of, as she should. Just a year ago, I was speaking to her and she acted like she didn't know what jazz was, and said she didn't know how to play it, so we gave her some examples of jazz she had already played. She gave us one of her classic "Oh, yeah" 's that we so love. Of course we asked her to do more funk and she acted like she didn't know what that was either. We laughed and told her she was super funky. Then she laughed. Such a humble wonderful human!
