Its easy to get stuck in one genre and call everything else dumb. I've got a variety of tastes and like to play all sorts. I'm not exactly a metal-head in regards to my looks, which is unfortunate that it seems to make a difference in that scene, but I also love metal and pop music in equal measures. Mainly, I don't give 2 fucks what people would think. There are no rules to music!! Oh and thanks for the support!!

mattrg470 of course man! I think I’m pretty much the same. I love Metal/Pop/Classical/EDM, really anything that sounds nice but I don’t dress or act exactly in line with any of those styles. It’s sad that if you don’t dress/act a certain way the core of that group can exclude you. And don’t worry man, as long as you’re rocking I’ll show support for whatever it is!

A bit late to this, but there are so many types of music so why get stuck to one? I like metal, pop, rap, jazz, and just about everything else. But I still respect the types of music I don't like, because some people do like it. If people like it, and even if no one likes, it deserves respect.

Depends how good you are when you learn it. I've been playing 24 years and it was pretty basic for me. Others might find it very challenging. I don't know what your point is.
