This is one of those songs that I would not want to play live. It's a heck of a lot of work for a song that sounds super simple, and if you mess it up, you REALLY mess it up! Pretty awesome though!

I am learning it right now, and I can play all the parts isolated, but the switch from the lead lick back into the intro progression/second verse is killing me, I can never get the shape completely formed in time. Also, huge difference trying to play this sitting down vs standing up, I play with a pretty low strap and its near impossible to do anything lmfao

i play it live quite comfortably, im sure it started really difficult, but the key is just keep doing it, and it gets more comfortable over time.@@MyArtificialNostalgia

Exactly! It’s hard enough to get your fingers in the right place at the right time but you also need to have a well set up guitar and be careful with finger pressure. Stupidly difficult!

We just added this song to our set list...holy eff! It's not just the guitar part that's deceptively hard, the bass line is down-stroked 16th notes so really taxes your stamina. Bravo to Sparky Guitar! 👋👋👋

It's really hard on a Gibson (short) scale length... and REALLY hard on a fender scale guitar. It's a good excuse to get another guitar!

I did this a while ago and since then I've noticed some people play the open A instead of that 5. That is certainly easier... but there's no way of avoiding that 3-7 split!!! The only advice would be to use a shorter scale guitar... which is why I used a Gibson. Every little helps!

@@taylormccgetting on the 5th fret while stretching from 7 to 3 is the hardest part for me. I’m able to play everything pretty good except that part

@@gabrielmartinez5961 Try playing both the 3 and the 5 with your first finger and moving it. That makes it easier for me, because you're moving around, your hand doesnt feel like it's cramping up holding an odd shape. It doesn't ring out as long, but as far as I can tell there's no Let Ring notated in the song.. The guitar is also very quiet in the mix during this part..

I’ve never seen that problem before. When I pause KZbin I can tap the screen and everything is hidden… so I can see everything.

@@SparkyGuitar This is an issue with the computer version of KZbin. Its not like its your fault or anything, but if you moved the tabs just high enough that the youtube bar doesn't block it (about 50 pixels) it would remedy the issue. Otherwise what I do is just play the video at 0.25 speed, usually slow enough to read thoroughly
