Fun Fact: The Colecovision version uses music based off an earlier version of the Arcade game.

These are still so much fun today. Weirdly enough, I've been enjoying Fruity Frank since my childhood and discovered Mr Do much later. I still think Fruity Frank is almost a game of it's own. It's very much LIKE Mr Do, but ... different. I still enjoy it more, today, but both are super nice!

lol thats so good to hear, I knew someone would say it. As i can see its different enough, the AI is totally different, more random than threatening.

Mr. Do! is my favorite arcade game. Great music and sound, bright colors, fast game play, lots of strategy and at least 4 ways to clear each level. I got so tired of people saying that Mr. Do! copied Dig Dug. That is like saying Galaga copied Space Invaders or LadyBug copied PacMan. Outside of digging in the dirt and dealing with enemies, the game play is vastly different.

Boy, were there a LOT of terrible ports of this game. Shame too, because this arcade game was an all-time favorite of mine!

Surprised how shitty the Coleco port looks, esp. compared to the older Atari 8-bit version.

was astonished a 2600 could do that really, all my games were a square moves around another square, the dev of 2600 mr do needs to make himself known so we can kneel before him.

even if i have to kneel alone, kneel i will. 6502 asm is gods own language.

fruity frank cracks me up. I wonder if half these good ones just ported the code and some decided to start again (bad idea).. and some were just non licensed rip offs. The AI is what made this game once u fake it the game is gone.
