I must admit that I enjoy his commentary and explanations of things as he does the job. But different people have different approaches, not to mention that this chap is self employed so perhaps he can give the time to explain, and I’d imagine enjoys showing people throughout the world his working day! It’s easy to think of Australia and New Zealand being basically the same but they have different approaches to life I think. Gentler somehow, and ’softer’. Not softer in goals, or work ethics, just their approach. If I had the opportunity again I’d love to have move there ... but that boat sailed when I was young.

How do those jetter work on cleaning soft poop in the sewer line
@mrdrains20882 жыл бұрын
Hard or soft the jetter should be able to deal to it, but sometimes when its a long compacted blockage of poop & paper etc you almost have to go through it to the front of the blockage & break it up from the front pulling the hose back so as not to make a big mess.
@davehumphrey40752 жыл бұрын
I like the flexshaft cutting. I do not yet have a jetter. I am surprised the jetter did not remove the roots that were removed with the flexshaft. Is that normal?? Thanks for the video. Dave from mid America
@mrdrains20882 жыл бұрын
Jetters will cut through roots, but sometimes depending on the angle of travel within the drain, they can cut through the blockage & leave some roots behind that require going over or changing heads to cut. Even then sometimes those blasted roots seem to dodge or get missed by the high pressure waters - like a dodge ball master. The FlexShaft sometimes just helps to clean up those edges where the roots are being difficult to hit with the jetter.
@davehumphrey40752 жыл бұрын
@@mrdrains2088 I have found it helpful to have a verity tools and techniques for root control I really want/need a jetter like yours. It looks very capable and useful. The flexshaft with a camera is especially helpful for me these days. I really appreciate the video and your explanation. Those pesky roots don’t stand a chance!!
@mrdrains20882 жыл бұрын
@@davehumphrey4075 You can easily get great results with a simple 4GPM waterblaster from a local hardware or tool supply shop. The key is to have good hose & a good selection of jetting nozzles, with a root ranger turbo nozzle or similar being essential.

If you do lose the chain, how do you retrieve it? Is it magnetic or do you have a hook attachment you add to the flex?
@mrdrains20885 жыл бұрын
I've only had the flex Shaft cable break once & that was in the trap & managed to get it out by hand. If I have to retrieve something metal from within drain I use a magnet with the camera or retrieval hook on a cable machine.
