I love that Fischeoder can balance being an evil rich bastard and yet somehow still be likeable. Like, it's SO hard to like a landlord in any capacity but Calvin manages to at least be a decent person to the Belchers. He doesn't charge them extra for their frequently late rent, he gives them a lot of opportunities for free months, and it seemed like he actually would have been willing to sit down and listen to Bob if he'd came to talk to him about the rent hike.

It could also be argued that women were only "liberated" to become wage slaves in industrial society, and it was planned imo to make it impossible for most families to get by on one source of income, therefore making it more difficult to raise kids. Kids that people do have are more so in the clutches of the state and mass media. In the real world Fischoeder would have been arrested multiple times. In Family Guy he would have started out like this before becoming an iredeemable monster/pervert further down the line. But here he remains gleefully cheerful and able to get off the hook largely by leaving the room at the right time. There's a great bit in the new series where he's managed to get baked on mushrooms and is trying to fight the clouds.
