I had seen other reviews that also said the built in fan didn't have much spunk. Thanks for posting the review.

We got the 18,000 version and short of all the issues trying to figure out how to get the damn thing to work now that we finally do have it going it actually works really really well to eat where we live

That's the one I have and I've spent about a good half an hour trying to get the damn thing to light🙄 no luck and now I'm pissed off

Are you seeing a spark when you push down on the igniter? If not unscrew the ignition red button and make sure the battery is good. You must hold down the black knob while it’s on PILOT the hit the red ignition button

How long does the propane tank last?
@MJMCHRONICLES4 жыл бұрын
I get about 30 hours out of a small 20lb tank, my barn is 12’ x 16’ insulated. I only run the heater on 1 or 2 keeps it about 68 degrees.

Does it have a internal thermostat that can be set?
@MJMCHRONICLES4 жыл бұрын
No it’s controlled with a knob on top, when it gets to that setting it turned off. Then when it cools down it relight. Dial has settings 1 to 5. (It’s kind of a thermostat I guess)

why do you think you need the window cracked? I didnt see it say that anywhere in the manual
@MJMCHRONICLES3 жыл бұрын
Mine said it needed some ventilation
@laurakeller7914 Жыл бұрын
The manual does say it needs ventilation. That is why he cracked a window. We have ours installed in our garage and have the small sliding window cracked when we have it running

Skip the 10k and 20k version. It is 30,000 btu or NOTHING! Everything else is just a toy. You will only be able to heat it up from unbearable cold to miserable cold. Keep in mind at it's max setting (which is what these need to run at to actually work). It is going to go through about 1.3 pounds of propane per hour. If you are trying to heat an area up. That is NOT at least 57 degrees unheated to start. NONE of them will be able to do it effectively, Sure you can insulate more, put in a 300 pound propane tank outside. It just seems to buy a better heater to start with.

In my 12 x 16 shed (that is insulated) the 20,000 keeps it over 70 degrees in the coldest weather set on 2 to start and 1 to keep temp. I get 20 hours out of a 20 lb tank
@GillieFisher Жыл бұрын
I am not sure what the coldest weather is there. I am in a 12 foot X 12 Foot X 7 feet high room in my unheated brick basement. It is 39 degrees outside and 67 in this room with the heater off. On 1 it stays at 67 degrees. On 2 it will keep at 72 degrees.So yes everything is good. The problem kicks in as the temperature drops. When it gets below zero (without a wind chill) and a starting temp of 46 degrees in this room. I have to crack it way up. This is my 3rd year with the 30k model. The square footage and heater stays the same. The only difference is the temp. Can it warm up this room to 72 with a starting temp of 46? Well sure it will. The only thing that changes now is the cost to run it. At that temp, using a 30 pound tank. I get about 18 hours per tank. ORRRR about 1 day of heat, This is a 24 hour day with 18 hours of it turning itself on & 6 hours off. Here a 30 pound tank is $27 to fill. I use this area as a work space. So I do not need it on for more than an hour or so in a day. So it works for me. There just seems to be so many people who think that this is meant to be run as a furnace, They are not going to be happy with the cost of $25 DOLLARS A DAY when they try to use it like that,@@MJMCHRONICLES
