Yes, I followed every step to clean the stupid pilot light on KZbin and tried so many tips but the product is defective right out of the box!

Can confirm. I've had the little buddy, Mr heater, and the big buddy. They all shut off after about an hour of use and then it's just problems and hassles from there. I returned them all and am done with the Mr Heater brand.

It is a very bad emergency heating device. A lot of people can freeze to death if this thing is not working when they need it

You need to follow instructions more carefully. Place heater on level surface/floor, turn knob to pilot, hold down for 30 seconds, release, push knob again, pilot light will ignite. Continue to hold for 30 seconds, move knob to low or high, you will see an initial blue flame. It will never work the way you're doing it in this video--thankfully.

I already did and the unit is 100% broken! The customer service is horrible!!!!

This isn’t the first time I tried to run it. It was on the floor and the pilot light would not turn on. It was defective out of the box.

@@ejsgarage Understood. Your video doesn't refect trying to start it correcty though. Yes, you probaby have a defective unit. I have a few units just like the one in your video and they all worked fine right out of the box. Return that one and get a replacement.

Yes, it was defective out of the box. If you read Amazon reviews, their quality control is not good and people get a defective heater out of the box.

It is very dangerous because people can sid because they won't have a working emergency heater during a bad storm like.the one in Buffalo, New York. We had no heat & power for 5 days in Virginia.

it is even more dangerous when it is running, as when operated in closed environment it will emit CO gas 💀

I have the buddy and the big buddy heater and have been using them for multiple years for ice fishing here in Minnesota. They are awesome. I think it's user error. Just like any gas/ propane appliance, you need to prime the line. You can't just hook up the gas and expect it to work. The gas needs to run through the line and get to the cupler. Push the nob down and hold it till you can hear the propane or smell the propane. Once that happens, twist the nob to the start position. It should work. Good luck!!!

You seem like an intelligent person, so sorry to tell you what you might already know, but if the piezoelectric is not sparking, to start the pilot flame, use a lighter or matches. Cheaper than throwing a hundred dollar heater out. Also have another back up. Dynaglow propane. Kerosene. Or generator. 1 $100.00 heater is not sufficient for that size home.

@@ejsgarage sorry that happened to you, we just used 2 of them in the Grinch storm we just had. I hope you can find something that works for you. It’s good to have a back up. Watch for sales. People are gouging on generators and heaters right now.
