Ambiguity occurs every time the author presents an idea which is opened to interpretation with variable meanings and significance. For example : 1/ scene of ambiguity is seen when Dimmesdale questions Chillingsworth about the herbs he has collected. The response Dimmesdale receives startles him. Chillingsworth answers Dimmesdale's question by telling him he collected the herbs from the graveyard. 2/ Her husband Chillingworth. Although he is primarily described as dark, evil, even demonic, the reader's sympathies favor him somewhat, as it is apparent that Hester's infidelities have affected him deeply. Everything become clear at the end ? No , Pearl !! She married a handsome and rich man ! and lived a stable life unlike her mmother. Much of her strangeness and other-worldliness is attributable to her quickness of mind and the abnormal environment in which she lives

وعليكم السلام . مرحلة الثانوية العامة و اول سنه بالجامعه كنت اعتمد على الروايات المترجمه نعم . ولكن فيما بعد كامله باللغه الانجليزيه . وجدت صعوبه بالبدايه اكيد ولكن كل ما حفظت كلمات ، يصبح عندك حصيله لغويه قويه جدا وبالتالي اعتماد الطالب على القاموس حيقل بشكل ملحوظ . كل ما انتقل الشخص للانجليزي فقط بدون تأخير ، كانت النتائج افضل لانه اصلا لن نجد كل الروايات مترجمه بالمكتبات او بالسوق

the dark and light contrast is to show the difference between good and evil. The writer uses this motif when he is describing characters. Chillingworth is often described with darker imagery in order to portray his evil personality. While Hester's light represents truth and purity. The light runs away from her because she has sinned. Hester Prynne’s relationship with the sunlight represents her transformation from a sinner, to a good person in society’s eyes.

هيستر ، معاناة نفسيه او اذى معنوي psychological abuse OR mental suffering اما ديميسدال ، عذاب جسدي وأيضاً نفسي physical harm كان يجلد نفسه بشكل مستمر، عادة ما يكون هناك مقبض يتم ربطه بذيول الجلد الصغيرة ، كل منها تحتوي على أشواك تلتصق بالجلد ، مما يسبب ألمًا ونزيفًا Dimmesdale does practice self-flagellation in which he essentially whips himself with a scourge, usually a handle to which is attached many small, leather tails, each with one or more barbs that would stick in the skin, causing greater pain and bleeding. Dimmesdale makes himself physically ill with guilt. Hester 's pain stems from the shame and estrangement she receives from the society. She is forced to face alienation and public humiliation from her town. She endures all this pain and torment alone, without the support of her family or friends. Hester’s life is never filled with joy. However, she remains compassionate towards the townspeople.
