Dude they just aren't good live AT ALL anymore. I saw them at Hot August Blues in like 2015 and they were so ungodly awful.

You’re probably referring to the fact that he sings the melodies to his songs differently at every single live performance. Watch live shows from the 90s, they’ve always done it. Either you’re into it or you’re not. The dude is honestly a really talented singer.
