Not gona lie. Aziz worked with K and did what other cops should do, even though K was kept in their for a long time. A lot of other cops would have just charged him and processed him off. More cops should do what aziz did, instead of just charging everything the gun has on it to one person. Actually investigate, rp it out, even if your are given a BS story.

I'm not positive that Ramee knows, but hopefully, when K tells Ramee what happened, he can let him know that he can be off the hook for the rest of the charges now. The cops can only charge everything they're going to charge on the spot or charge nothing and investigate for later when it's a hot gun. Aziz was definitely being cool, but he fucked up as far as the law is concerned for adding the possession of the firearm charge.

I think the reason is twofold, on one hand, he will talk down everything he can to lower time over money since cash doesn't matter for K as much as time does with the charges, and on the other side, the longer he is in the cells negotiating with the police, the less time he spends once he is sent up. Very smart man indeed.

@@fallenout2017 Pretty sure you are agreeing with the OP... He makes mistakes but is still a good cop and deserves fair and just punishment. Firing him would have been unjust and the PD would have lost a valuable cop. No one said he never made mistakes. Just that trying to fire him was a mistake.

Cops charging someone with past crimes on a weapon with no linking evidence even when someone physically could not have done so/conflicting evidence is weird. Especially with the follow up of asking them to prove they didnt do it. - this is like cops having a blurry photo and them asking you to prove that its NOT you, while youre behind bars lol

Mr K is correct, the system is broken and legislation only seems to change quickly when there is anything mildly helpful for crims. I like Aziz though, even if he gonna screw you over at least he has entertaining interactions.

If the PD doesn’t catch someone red handed, they should have to have substantial evidence proving that the PERSON being charged was the one who shot the gun, not that the casings came from the gun. Thats how things actually work.

Because revealing info like the witnesses makes it dangerous... what if K found out that someone snitched based off a report/incident and kills them? Who is at fault? Well obviously K but the police didn't protect or serve that person, who legally did nothing wrong/didn't deserve it

The whole discussing about charges is essentially what a bench trial is, just without a judge. They don't understand the difference between being charged vs being convicted. sending someone to jail right away is skipping or pushing the bench trial phase back which is stupid. If they want a bench trial, suddenly everything is provided, which is stupid af. They want realism in a place that it is not real. If the cops want to be real, they should let him go after he is charged, the lawyers will get a FOIA request sent in. He will then fight the charges, which to drop or not to. THEN you send him to jail after everything is done.

Is the evidence sealed or something until they get into the court room how are they supposed to negotiate if the defense doesn’t know what they’re fighting against?

K could get out of the rest of those charges easy if only he knew how. Aziz did exactly what Slacks wanted to do, charging some of the charges on the hot gun but saving others for more investigation. When Slacks tried to do that, he found out that it was illegal and he could only charge once, either now, or charge nothing and bring the charges later. The possession of the firearm charge shouldn't have been in there if he wanted to pursue anything after.

Aziz discussed it with the Chief of Police, and they were in agreement. So I doubt it would be illegal, it would be double jeopardy to charge him with possession again, but there should be no reason why they can't investigate a different case further and charge him with everything but possession if they find they have enough evidence to make that case stick.

@shartnerd Slacks wanted to do the same thing and was stopped. Nathankb (Judge Crane) explained ooc to Ssaab why it's considered double jeapordy in nopixel when in real life it would be allowed. Your argument that CoP said it so it must be true doesn't work, man. Ssaab has played CoP, commissioner, captain, and still didn't know he couldn't do that. My point isn't that it's bad or anything, just that K absolutely could get the rest of the charges dropped if they're ever filed very easily if he knew.
