Letting the crowd sing choruses is a common thing. They are all facing the stage so you can't hear it.

@@zacharywiesel900 Not true I ended up seeing so many live performances of this song and needed to know why he kept doing this. In some of those performances its ckear the audience would start singing then stop when they tealized he wasnt singing. It turns out he deliberately holds the chorus until the end. Go watch the live performance he did from home he explains he does it because he likes to save the best part until the end! I think he should perform it live like the recorded version but that's my opinion.

Have you ever tried to sing the chorus out loud? There is no space to catch a breath, so it must be done without inhale. Try to do it 3 times in a row and not suffocate.
