Can i grow in edmonton, AB Canada? We have 3a zone . I bought it from edmonton walmart
@kansascityrosesociety26333 жыл бұрын
Hello Pankaj, Mr Lincoln is rated to survive zone 5 at the lowest so it will probably not survive the winter In Edmonton. However, you can plant it and enjoy it for this summer! You might get in contact with the Calgary Rose Society and see if they have any suggestions on roses that can grow in your climate. calgaryrosesociety.ca/ Thanks for visiting the Kansas City Rose Society website and enjoying our videos.

What is the difference between Mr. L and CHRYSLER
@kansascityrosesociety263311 ай бұрын
Hello Raquel, Mr. Lincoln (1965) and Chrysler Imperial (1952) are both old variety hybrid tea roses. They are both classified as "dark red" and very fragrant. The difference is that Chrysler Imperial is mostly scarlet, and Mr. Lincoln has a purple undertone, which becomes very visible as the flower fades. Either one is beautiful, and the fact that they are still around attests to their popularity. --- L. Dickinson, Consulting Rosarian

Where I can buy this rose?
@kansascityrosesociety26333 жыл бұрын
It depends on where you are living and the stores you have access to. If you are uncertain of these stores close to you, you can do an online search for "garden centers" in your area, or "Where can I buy rose bushes near to my location." Too, there are also "several" online stores for example, heirloomroses.com or jacksonandperkins.com, and many others, that specifically sell roses.

Hi there, can you tell me what this rose is like for blackspot please? I'm in London UK, and we get lots of rain! Thanks
@kansascityrosesociety26335 ай бұрын
Hello Peter! Mr. Lincoln is a great rose, and fairly disease resistant for its time. It was introduced in 1965, when rose growers were more interested in beautiful blooms than disease resistance, but it is better than most of that era. The American Rose Society ranks it as "very good to excellent". It grows tall and strong with large flowers of exquisite old-garden fragrance. You might check with someone in your area for a more accurate report on how it does in London. Thanks for your question. Enjoy your roses! -Laura Dickinson, Consulting Rosarian
