@@201hours8Is that you Vince😂. It was a perfectly valid question, which I was waiting for him to ask. Vince being ridiculed is irrelevant, and doesn't change that what he did was exactly the same. He went around poaching and taking all the best talent from the territories, without any regard of what this would do to the other organisations, and knowing full well it could them out of business. He was given a taste of his own medicine, and others on the show agreed.

Hi! I'm a pro wrestler, and I've been in the business for 19 years. In my first year, I took a steel chair shot to the back of the head, which resulted in a concussion. Not only could I not remember much of the match afterward, but I also went blind for almost 12 hours. So yes, CTE is a real thing-this happened in 2007, by the way. It's baffling to me that Steve Austin still denies the implications of CTE after all these years and the breakthroughs in science.

People in Showbiz esp athletic performers work their ass off, it's not something new, MJ took drugs too. But the thing is everyone's body acts differently 1:19 , at the end of the day you are doing this for you and your family and you have to think a million times before taking the life of your family like Chris Benoit did . CTE angle is just adding another controversy against wwe. It's like telling a soldier WAR shouldnt happen or it would kill you .

The part where Hayman told the story of Vince baiting Shane to stab him in the chest if he wanted to take over the company, even comparing it to how he removed his father from being an obstacle. Well, it really got me questioning how exactly did Vince's father die. Even the promo in 2001, just before Survivor Series, Hayman said that once McMahon Sr. died, Vince wasted no time competing against the other territories. Maybe Hayman is BS-ing us. Or maybe he overheard Vince's BS to sound tough. Or maybe, just maybe, it's true. I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

I think the point regarding Austin / vince saying they dont belive in CTE is from a point of "its not that bad in the wrestling business unless you are doing something wrong" As Stone cold said, he didnt have too many concussions in his career, and the moves are made to look like you get a blow, but in reality you are fine. Yes he did not have same diving finisher, but the way its being done is not as bad as it seems aka, should not give you a concussion every time. Doctors should have seen it if he was concussed when doing medical checks, during his career. Im sure they will catch these kinds of things if they happened that regularly. But there might be other reasons to how he got the CTE, or as mentioned other reasons he did what he did. Watching it, hearing the explanations from Vince for all, i get where he comes from. Yes he is cold, yes he made some bad decisions in his life. But he was always thinking about the only thing that mattered in his life, his business. He has done x amount of horrible shit, and thats not excuseable, but whenever he made a decision on for the business that may have hurt/screwed over someone else i can respect, because people do these kinds of things for what they love every single day.

As a WWE fan since 2010, I wasn’t too familiar with the history of the earlier decades, so this was a perfect way to learn more about the Attitude Era, Hulkamania, and the WCW rivalry. The series is very well made - dynamic editing, well-structured storylines, and thoughtfully organized episodes. However, if you're looking for details about the allegations against Vince McMahon, that only comes up in the last episode, and it's covered rather briefly. My rating: 9/10.

To be honest, it's what I expected, a bit like Fallout on Amazon Prime, it was trying to ride a line between hardcore fans who knew most of this already, and the greater masses who have no idea (similarly with most of the interviews/filming being done prior to Janel Grant it was either this or just bin everything thus far and wait for the legal case to play out). That being said the documentary kinda reminded me of when the Wall Street Journal originally reported the hush money claims, and outlets like Bloomberg (the business news channel) invited people from WrestleTalk on to explain it - what shocked Bloomberg's host most was how openly known Vince's behaviour was in the wrestling world.

Mr. McMahon Documentary was just a backstory on WWE, how it became the biggest wrestling company in the world. It’s definitely not for the hardcore fans but it for sure had some very uncomfortable and interesting stories when it came to the Vince controversies

It was sooo good. Made me cry, made me angry, made me happy, made me nostalgic, and oof Paul Heyman was amazing.

I'm laughing at all the people who thought this was about the cases . It was about him bringing the company up ....part 2 is the cases😂 see that in 3 years😂

The Fall of Vince McMahon by WrestleTalk was more comprehensive. I enjoyed Vince being hypocritical from his own mouth, but for most wrestling fans we knew most of this already, in greater detail. Even WWE’s slanted Monday Night War was more in-depth.

Separate the art from the artist. That’s what a lot of people say about Vince. But really it’s quite hard. Vince McMahon pretty much build the modern day wrestling scene we know today.

@@Ghostaredead the ring boy scandal was revealed before the doc and was a common knowledge amongst the industry execs, Pat Patterson was known as a creep since the 80s and 90s.

What if Vince putting a disclaimer and trying to buy the documentary was a marketing stunt ?

Yeah it was just a timeline of Vince's career... that's it, they didn't go into detail as it pertains to his recent trials, nor the one's in the 80s/90s I was expecting victims to go on, as well as witnesses and prosecutors, all except for Grant because her case is ongoing. Everyone else should've been interviewed.

I feel like they downplayed the greatness of Wrestlemania 17 a little bit. They just glazed over it. Probably my only issue with the series.

It was interesting from a history point of view. And they never mention Benoit or Sable, so it was surprising to see in this. I would love to see more of Shane. It didn't make me feel any different about Vince. As you said, we already knew that.

I love how majority of the documentary was Vince trying to justify and make himself looked good, Bruce joining in at the last episode and the director just gave them the middle finger right after.

Whew Vince is exhausting. The man is crazy and believes those storylines are his real life. He can’t separate fact from fiction 🤣😮‍💨

The ring boy stuff I didn't know and Tony Atlas just saying plainly what Pat Patterson like to do was surprising. I liked it. I think it was a combo of cte and the testosterone he was taking that ultimately pushed Chris over the edge.
