The reference with toriyama is that in the abridged cooler movie, goku revives a bird named toriyama, and he tells him to “teach a dinosaur to ride a ball”, which in itself is a reference to the English translated lyrics to Cha La Head Cha La

The “no more country music” joke actually starts here and is referenced later in the History of Trunks special you watched. Bulma driving with Trunks while Robot Rock by Daft Punk is playing, prompting Bulma to say “I miss Country.” Also that special is the only time we see 17 pull out his pistol and is about to use it (point blank) to end an old man that just shot at him.

The Toriyama bird joke has so many layers. A reference to the Cooler movie, Tori means bird in Japanese, and Toriyama owning Bird Studios
