I discovered this movie many years ago when it was featured in a story arc on "Wiseguy". So glad you were able to run it, so I could finally watch it! So much better than the '70s and '80s TV schlock.
@brianmccarthy5557

Me too. It was a creepy story reference on "Wiseguy". The "villain", played I think by Stephen Roache, is a timber baron in an isolated Northwest area. He is obsessed with young girls and running his rural kingdom like a medieval aristocrat in Eastern Europe. He is also obsessed with the Sardonicus character, who he much resembles in behavior, and is regularly watching the film at his mansion. Vinnie blows into town, on the run for his depression due to the deaths of the gangsters he befriended in the previous season, and scores the local sheriff's job. "Wiseguy" was deservedly one of the hottest series on TV at the time. It was a creepy but not very effective story line and they returned to New York mobsters in the coming season plus a rather stupid Iran-Contra inspired Left Wing propaganda plot which finally killed the series.

Even back in the 1960s, British actors were playing villains. I love the two main British actors in this role so Robert did amazing film called jigsaw when he played a detective and his uncle was the chief inspector. Check that a brilliant, brilliant film and loving this too, and hello Vincent, Tangela and Mr Livingston from Jamie in London, England

I googled “Vincent” Jeff’s character Jeff has so much charisma I expected him to be an old actor with mucho television experience. How cool he created this gig for himself. My local guy in the early 1960’s was called “ count Macabre” I went in the show as a Cub Scout. Vincent is a great spooky movie host better than Elvira

Great movie I saw that years ago when I was a teen on my foster parents. I would watch horror movies every Friday night on channel 7 just right after the U.S news . I always liked watching part of the news so I could watch Irv Weinstein say his famous line just before the movie: And tonights fright night late Show . It always made the movie seem a little scarier when did that.

Yes, I remember those late night movies, I was 10 yrs old in 1971 so I watched them all, and no school the next day, great times. Also watched the movie of the week which was usually thrillers - A Cold Nights Death, Crowhaven Farm, A Taste Of Evil, The Deadly Dream, Haunts Of The Very Rich etc etc.
