One example of scratch building I did was the grey shed as seen in my series. Made out of coffee stirrers for the main structure and cardboard with one smooth part removed for the roof.

I have only scratch built one thing for my layout and it was a shed made out of lolipop sticks with a cardboard box base and I very much wish I saw this video first.

Do you have tips for adding/Making an Open Cab to a Tank Engine?

Use a saw bro
@ScrapyardStudios10 ай бұрын
Nah jokes aside, it’s all mould dependent. If it’s like a wind up or something, where the cab is a part of the mould, then you just cut more carefully than normal - also it’s size dependent too.

@@ScrapyardStudios Ertl
@ScrapyardStudios10 ай бұрын
Yeah ERTL’s probably an easier one to work with in terms of structure I think (assuming you have the right tools of course). You don’t necessarily have to worry about going to ham with the sawing process, it’s durable enough to not snap entirely mid cutting & when you very nearly cut through the whole component, you’ll see it slightly curve down before it falls to the floor, which of course means you’ve cut it.
