I thought id add a bit more: Milliput can be used with water to smooth out sny splits or cracks and keep the object sturdy as one piece Also working with paper clips or any metal wire or sorts using a set of wire cutters and long nose pliers to help cut and bend up the wire is important too

From my experience, I love to customize Take Along/ Take N' Play. But, considering how difficult those things are to take apart (they're like freakin Nokias) I like to paint small crevices and spaces like running boards and linings with paint on a toothpick. On the topic of customizing Take Along running boards, if anyone attempts to do so, I would recommend painting in between the splashers, so it blends into the running board better. I painted the running boards on my engines black. and I LOVE the look. Finally, if you're going to spray something to seal your paint, make sure to spray it lightly, yet consistently. Spraying too close to the model is a good way to leave drip marks, and might even mess with the paint on the model. I hope this helps somebody out there, and more importantly, gets someone thinking about trying their hand on customizing a Take Along/ Take N' Play model ( *cough* the best TTTE toyline *cough* )!

One tip I've given before but I'll leave it here as well: If you're using loctite glue to attach parts, glue first then paint afterwards because a seam or stain will form after applying.

An awesome video dude I've used some of these techniques myself but they're just some that I haven't been able to try out yet so I will say this is a very helpful video. Also I was surprised to see my custom Stanley making appearance since it's my most recent. But you know the old saying goes surprises come in all shapes and sizes. Anyway can't wait to see more videos dude.

That my intention with this series. It’s so bad, it even drove me to touch up the paint on Edward, Gordon, Lady of The Lake & various other things which I’ll talk more about soon. It’s 5 past 6 in the morning as I’m typing this & I didn’t get any sleep but, worth it 😂🥲

I recently discovered that for doing buffers, eyes and sometimes numbers that if you take a toothpick and cut the end of it off, it works great for eyes, depends where you cut it too. I shake like hell when doing finer details so it honestly saves me a lot of time. also have used various things from a hard brush (turns out stupid stuff i do works) to some of the most random things like lego pieces like hands and studs on the top of minifig heads. surprisingly they work pretty good, just helps to sand the latter of the two down so you don't end up with a lego imprint on an item. Oh and the few times I do it, since i forget like 90% of the time to do it that a flexi-ruler honestly goes a long way with doing lining. got mine for just a dollar at walmart.

Any Tips for Customising a Custom Lego Build?
@ScrapyardStudios
@ScrapyardStudios 10 ай бұрын
That’s a very interesting question & one I’ll try to answer. I can’t say anything groundbreaking I don’t think, but what I’ve said previously with experimentation can undoubtedly be applied to Lego customisation too. Lego has a more straightforward approach to it in the sense that it’s easier to put together & to run through specific methods that you come up with. When I was a kid, we used to have a couple of plastic boxes just filled with lego from sets that we once had & I’d often want to build or mod something, so I’d rummage through until I found the pieces that would work - which is how I made my camera rig. It’s more or less a combination of extreme patience & ideas to bounce between. Dunno if that’s helpful or not lol
