Ian, for a guy that is just getting into 132 racing and slots in general, this is a tremendous help. Thank You!

What is the difference in the white kit MR1041 and MR1041B ? Thanks Ian
@idwurks Жыл бұрын
Stephen, thanks for the question. The B version is the one we're racing - It has a Slot.it Flat6 motor, as compared to the MR1041 which has the full height long can motor. The difference will be in the motor pod and the motor itself, and how the motor applies power. The "bigger" can motors tend to have more torque where the lower profile Flat 6 motors have a lower CG. Does that answer your question?

Hi Ian! Great videos. While I was reviewing this video, I noticed you have the rear bushings/bearings installed in the motor pod. I am sure there is a reason why you did this. Can you share ???? See you at ED in November for the 2024 NSR Nations West. Thanks 😀

The concept there is that I want to include as much as possible in the car when I flatten it that should be perfectly aligned. I've started to put a motor in the pod, and bushings with an axle so that when the chassis heats up, all that tension releases and you align the pod with all the components that would be there in the finished product. Does that make sense?

this video compared to the oven heating method which uses a pan filled with water? Lastly, what car are your preparing for the Scale Auto race at ED? Thanks!!!
@idwurks4 күн бұрын
@@ratfink6670 Just to clarify, you're asking why would you use one method over the other? The oven method is just easier and cleaner for me. I have worked on it and feel confident in it, and the water method has never worked great for me. For ScaleAuto, I will bring last years Spyker and Viper, and prepare a second Viper :)

I only have 4 years of experience doing this! So, learning like everyone else :)

When you do these builds could we get a full parts list you use to do the builds. that would help someone like my self find the right stuff
