1:46 always upsets me, he's trying to cheer up the baby even though *he's* in danger. He has no idea what to do with a baby, and he's doing the best he can to keep it safe. He cares more about the baby than him. He even sacrifices himself for the baby later in the episode. This shows how nice of a human Stain is. This episode is absolutely beautiful, and that's what makes it my favourite.

For years, I tried to search for the animated short that aired on cartoon network that week on December. It made me cry, i couldn't stand it. To think that I would find it, finally, thanks to you. And to know that, Popee the performer's creator was the one to create this work, being an actual show and not just an animated short. This cannot be a coincidence. Shouldn't share this here. There were so many times I would try to end it all. And now I'm here, on this channel, now obsessed with a surviving fandom and I can watch this again.

a few months ago i learned about this series. now im coming back and watching more episodes. im starting to think Stain is like a saint but sadly has to murder to survive. he literally sacrificed his own soul (butterfly?) to save the baby. From coming back in 2020 and watching this show, I feel very bad for Stain. Hes gone through multiple sets of heartbreak (what im assuming from the video "lovesick" on this same channel) he hesitates to cut a fish open from the inside due to what it has seen, and he had to choose between the clay(?) version of himself and Palvan. Im assuming hes been through more. But what I am currently assuming, Stain is just a lonely kind hearted man. tiny comment that has nothing to do with anything: i thought they were in the afterlife at the end of the episode

極楽鳥よりこの回こそトラウマ回だと思うんだが。 結構世界観に深く踏み込んだ話だったな。ステインが浮浪者みたいなもんで、世間一般とは隔絶した生き方をしているってところが結構露骨に描写されてた。しかも警官が死んでるってのがな・・・。単純な勧善懲悪ではない。
