Thanks for posting this Phil as the instructions I received were less than satisfactory!

Glad my little video could help! I hope the kit works as well for you as it does for me. I love it!

It will one day I'm sure! Every instruction I could find said not to remove any component from the loop and to add the Mr12 Volt device into it, which I faithfully did, in the correct direction just as it returns into the head unit. Seeing how yours simply replaces the cd changer makes 100% sense to me and always has. My connection is different from yours but I'm going to do what you have once I find the time. Thanks once again! :D

Do you notice a buzzing/hum noise when placing calls through the Mr12Volt? It's not present while listening to music, just on calls.

No, I did not. It worked perfectly. Sounds like something needs to be grounded? I no longer have the car, but this experience made me buy a similar accessory for my SLK.

You are just adding another device into the car's D2B Fiber Optic "Loop". You can have up to around 9 or 10 total devices on this "network" I believe. The third, Blue wire on the changer harness is the "D2B bus wake-up line".

Will this work on my 2003 C240? It has the single din head unit and 6 cd changer
@philbiker33 жыл бұрын
Probably!!!! You'd have to find it on ebay and ask the lister. I no longer have this car, but this kit worked GREAT!!!!

You connected the orange fiber optic cable to the Mr12volt, but what plugs into the head unit? Or, did you remove the plug from the cd changer and plug that into the Mr12volt?
@philbiker35 жыл бұрын
I didn't touch the head unit. My car had the CD changer installed at the factory. When I removed the CD changer the cable for the Mr. 12 volt was the same cable I just plugged it in. I didn't use the cable that came with the Mr. 12 Volt because I already had it.

@@topfueltony It's worth a try - Usually the ebay sellers are very helpful confirming compatability.

That's what I did. I didn't connect it to anything. I have since sold the car. Hope the new owners enjoy the kit!
