Thanks for sharing. I have 3 91 MR2s. A black sunroof N/A "wingless " like yours that I've had since 2001. It's been parked for 13 years...got married and had a kid. A black hardtop turbo that's been parked for 10 years. And a red sunroof N/A parts car. Watching you may get me motivated to work on mine.

Very similar! For me it was earlier this year watching old Sarah-n-Tuned and BoostedBoiz videos on KZbin that kinda got me back to it.

Love this man, trusting the process, I actually just got my 91 Na crimson red straight out of a junk yard and worked slinging pizza to fix it. Finally got it on a rebuilt title and I can’t picture myself selling it.

Thanks Chris - that really resonates with me as when I bought the red turbo donor car, way back in 2003, I was slingin pies for IMO’s Pizza. You can see the red mr2 at the end of the first video before it pans back to the black NA roller that turbo engine lives in now - and the subject car of this series. Anyone who knows me knows I love pizza - so much so that it now accounts for atleast 1/3 of me - haha. Keep up the work, trust the process, and you will be driving in no time - and certainly less than the 20 years of my journey….

I will be following with interest. My '91 Turbo has been in my garage for about 8 years. Making very slow progress to getting it back on the road. You seem to have the advantage of knowing what you are doing, unlike me!

Hey Peter, thanks for the sub! It’s been amazing to see so many owners reach out about their long term project mr2s. It’s been a long time coming, so I feel you on the struggle. Good luck on the project and keep watching - maybe you will find the piece of the puzzle you need in my channel like I have in so many others’ mr2 builds on KZbin. It’s a great community and I am so glad to be a apart of it. Episode 3 drops later this afternoon.

@@RunaboutRevival I make mr2 videos but equally enjoy watching other builds like yours. I look forward to watching your progress. Thanks for checking out my channel as well.

Love the series and just stumbled upon your channel as I’m finally ready to start fixing up my mr2. I have two 91 na mr2s. Ones a bone stock 91 with power steering and the other is a clapped out 91 but it runs great 😂 I plan to swap all the good parts over to one and then sell the other. I will be following your channel closely to envision my dream of having a fully built and running mr2 with a gen4/5 swap

Thanks for watching! Lots of similarities to my own struggle leading up to this series, so I feel ya man. Hopefully you see something in my follies that help you on your quest!

MR2s are awesome. just a Little tiny

I definitely feel that - I wasn’t as…. “Awesome” back when I bought this project 20 years back. Finding a seat that works well is going to be fun

mine is untouched for 23 years abandoned. locked, no keys no title bill of sale only. but not stolen according to vin check. 76k original miles. i do not recommend buying a car without a title it isnt worth the hassle. mine might end up sold back as parts car to the next sucker haha

Fully titled in my name for over 20 years, as well as the red donor car the turbo engine came from (shown at end of video), so no issues there for me. Both my cars had around 90k miles at time I tore them down in 2003, but I have also since switched out the gauge cluster as well, and that artificially added about another ~5k miles. Meh…. Still a considerably low miles car for its age, regardless of the slight odometer discrepancy.
