Anyone that refers to it as a "baggy" full of screws has blazed a few in his time. Great review mate, and definitely looking at getting the touring one for my 2019 Versys. At 6'4 the screen is just a tad short and the wind hits the top 1/3 of my helmet.

D Train it’s a great add on and something I’ll have on any bike that I own for years to come. For us tall riders this is a fantastic add on. Thanks for the comment!
Been a while since this video, but I'm wondering if you could compare it to the Givi/Kappa airflow I saw on the other Vstrom. I have an MRA with the sport extension (all came with the bike) and no I'm debating getting the taller spoiler with the X-creen or jumping to a whole new shield in the Givi. Thanks!

Any opinions on the MRA Vario version? I bought a Medium 18.5 Vstream for my NC700X. 6,1" / 31.5" inseam and the buffeting is terrible with a RF1200 and foam ear plugs. Thinking about the Sport, Tour and now the Vario Tour. Hope it solves the issue.

Just bought the Smoke Sport for $76 from Amazon. Figure I can easily return it if it doesn't work well. My Vstream sits a good bit higher than your stock shield so I am hoping the smaller Sport will do the trick.

Hey! I haven't been able to see it anywhere I've looked! How do you like your sit and fly seat cover?
@gregtoope7 жыл бұрын
+Kurtis Meinhardt actually both my wife an I both have them and so far we like them. Plus for the price it's a pretty good deal.

That little peice of plastic is more expensive then my whole windscreen. What a rip off!

Hi I see that you have the clamp on instead of bolting it on. Has it ever come loose while riding? I'm afraid it may fly off and smack me in the face after extended use

i used the sport version last season, and now the tour version. I just check the screws every couple of months to verify they are snug. So far no problem with either versions. Work great.

When riding, are you looking through the screen extension?
@gregtoope4 жыл бұрын
for me it is just below my line of sight
@SantaPlaysPickleball4 жыл бұрын
Cruisn Canada thanks. I’m going to order. Right now my screen on my R1100r sits just below the level of my chin and I get slammed direct in the face with buffeting. Going to give this a try.

@@SantaPlaysPickleball I love mine. Used to have the sport, but moved up to the tour version.

Why does everyone mention their height when everyone is a different height when sat down on the bike. This is the vital bit. I'm 6ft and my mate 6ft3 but when we sit down I'm taller from the waist up by quite s margin. Everyone is different in terms of leg length and torso length

I think these work well, but there’s only so much you can do to improve a V-Strom
@gregtoope5 жыл бұрын
Ronan Rogers very true. But it was so great having it when you are highway riding!
@ronanrogers41275 жыл бұрын
Cruisn Canada ...I’m only joking. I can’t decide between the sport or tour. It’s for a 1390SA, the original white version. Which one do you prefer?
@gregtoope5 жыл бұрын
Ronan Rogers I used the smaller sport for about a year and it was good. But I was still getting a bit of wind buffeting. The larger tour model got rid of that completely. So I’d go with the tour. Was a great addition to the bike.

The MRA screens are shamefully over-priced. Total rip off for a piece of plastic and a few fiddly parts.

Most motorcycle parts are overpriced! But it does work really well.

So you started with the smaller x-creen sport but switched to the larger x-creen tour to see which gave better wind and noise protection. You never came to a conclusion in the video or the commentary. One thing I have learned over the years traveling at 80 mph plus, bigger does not always translate into hoped for results.
@gregtoope4 жыл бұрын
I still use the larger one. The bigger is considerably better at least for me. I now ride a Kawasaki Versys and use it on that bike. Its been a huge help for wind protection.
