We cover the basics of what a first focal plane vs a second focal plane riflescope looks like to the person behind the glass.
Just like radian or degrees, they're fractions of a larger unit of measurement for the angle between you and the target. This angle can be represented either vertically (elevation) or horizontally (windage).
They are essentially 2 different ways to measure same thing. One, the Miliradian system, is becoming more popular with professional shooters. Being able to use the same units of measurement while shooting allow other people to call adjustments for your shots that you can use.

I see 10x more moa then mils... only people i see with mils are x military people. More fine adjustments and much easier math.

What math are you doing? A finer adjustment is an irrelevant difference. Worst case scenario for 1/4 moa is 1/8 moa, worst case for .1 mil is .05 mil. 1/8 moa - .05 mil is .047 moa. If .047 moa matters to you, you are shooting f class or bench rest and you should be using a 1/8 moa per click second focal plane scope. Most prs shooters are going to be using .1 mil scopes in first focal plane.

Got 3 pistols and an ar with a holoson optic and just looking around wanting to buy an AR10 and a scope this helped me decide what to go with I was already leaning towards mrad but this point about the same language sealed the deal for me

Oh hahahha I use 1 shot and after I adjust and another shot re adjusted until 10round I got on the target . I never had time to play with the scope . Now I got addicted

so my scope says 4 clicks = an inch at 100 yards so why at 25 yards an inch is equal to 16 clicks? whats the math behind it?

Because 25 yards is a quarter the distance of 100 yards think of it like this: At 100 yards 1 MOA is one inch, so at 25 yards 1 MOA is a quarter inch so you need to dial in 4x the amount of clicks/minutes. Imagine having 2 laser pointers taped together and point them at a wall just in front of you, the dots will be touching, the further you move away from the wall the bigger the gap between the dots will be, let's say at 100 yards the dots are 1 inch apart, reduce the distance to 50 yards the gap will be a half inch

more fine adjustment. but I learned moa and like it more.... but its harder to find moa in the reticle you wanna buy.... one day it'll be mil and digital lol moa will be like a muzzle loader. lol and hopefully ill be dead by then lol

you don't need that fine of adjustment to begin with though, you cannot adjust individual impacts with greater fidelity than your group size at any distance. that more fine adjustment is just extra clicks for no reason.
