As a person from Constanța it’s actually interesting that those outside my city don’t really know much about the port of Constanța. Literally everybody..ok, most of the people here know that it is the largest port at the Black Sea. It used to be Europe’s 4th largest port at some point in the past, but well...😅 The local administration changed the route of the double decker and it takes you into the actual port. So if you ever have the chance you should definitely check it out. There are a few interesting buildings and with some renovations I’m sure that it can attract more and more tourists.

For a while wasn't Varna a bigger seaport? Im not surprised it has changed over the 30 years since the revolution though.
@_o..o_18714 жыл бұрын
Shawn Putnam Actually there haven’t been major changes in the port of Constanța over the last 3 decades. So I’m pretty sure that the port used to be the largest at the Black Sea during the communist era.

In English we don't really have "J"s in the middle of a sentence, and they make the same sound as in Romanian. I guess he's used to other Germanic and Slavic languages where they make a "y" sound. He must have assumed it was the same in Romanian.

and the weird thing is, it is ONLY in Castellano (not Catalan, not Galician, not Portugese) that it has the ARabic influnced HHHHHH sound.. All the other Romance languages have JUH noise for that. If Castellano HADNT become the dominant language on the Iberian Peninsula, things might have been very different.

The spelling for an American will be confusing because Spanish is a major minority language there and so many Americans are conditioned to pronounce j as h. Then when they start travelling they learn the next j sound y. Not being mean but Romania is not a popular destination for overseas tourists. So not learning correct pronunciation from Romania is extremely understandable.
@houseofaction4 жыл бұрын

Quit correcting the guys pronunciation , he does so many countries with so many ways to pronounce words . Maybe you would like to have your English corrected every time you open your mouth . He's an American that does the best he can with all the different languages around the world and speaking fast with no hesitation you can still understand him. He does one hell of a job informing me of things I didn't know !!
