It actually WAS on Broadway and actually got Tony Award recognition. Same with Mama Mia! and Jersey Boys. Needless to say these jukebox musicals DO NOT translate well on film.

to be honest the only reasion i even turned to this movie is because it thought it was A: a documentary of rock and roll, and heavy metal. B: a documentary of Def Leppard. C; some one literately just lopped this song and put it on tv. Needless to say i was so crushed to even watch the beginning that i tossed my remote across the room in sheer anger at this bullshit that dared to use the name of such a bad ass song.

I can't tell which is worse, this or Mamma Mia. To me Mamma Mia was stupid and annoying, but so was this! BTW I thought Moulin Rouge was great!

As a fan of rock music and musicals, I personally don't think it's THAT bad. It...okay, it is pretty awful, but the covers are pretty good and I liked Tom Cruise

Yeah I agree with you, if you enjoy this type of music, it's ALRIGHT. However, the story and the script is so bad, so disneylike it's nausiating.
