Saw Leonard at a car show in Seattle in winter '74/75, he was engaging, talkative, and seemed to be happy to be there answering questions. A nice guy.

Would be curious to see or even hear the 1968 interview with Carson. Would be interesting to hear his perspective with the show hastily renewed for a 3rd season.

Great actor! He left us way too early.

Your "name" fits me perfectly too, as does your feelings about Leonard. Today, 3-26-2022, is his birthday. Wish he was still among us. His portrayal of Spock made such a fan of me, that I followed his other, serious works too.

Before Spock... there was the most Vulcan-like Native American John Walking Fox.

Gunsmoke! Although an actual native American actor might not have been chosen for the role at the time due whatever prejudices by the TV company and viewers, I think Leonard Nimoy played the character with respect and dignity!

Leonards memory is a bit off. They went off the air in 69'.

@Deke Ianson. You're right. Although "Star Trek" was cancelled by NBC in 1968, the show aired in its' original broadcast run into 1969. Just like the TV series "Batman" which, like "Star Trek", made its' debut in 1966, was cancelled by ABC in 1968, but aired into 1969.

I wonder if Nimoy was ever annoyed by "Dr. Spock" references.

Johnny Carson did say, "I know you have to go." Sounds like Leonard had another place to be.
