AF PJ’s and CCT’s pipelines make BUD/s look like daycare. The only reason people think SEALs are so elite is because they’re always writing books and talking about it. The other spec ops units keep their mouths shut as they should, silent professionals.

If I had to guess from the outside looking in, SEAL training should be the toughest as you are taking an 18 year old kid who has no combat experience and letting him enter SEAL training. With Delta Force, you're taking a combat veteran and putting him through another level of training. You need to give the 18 year old kid more training than the combat veteran.

Delta Force Recruits from Seal Teams and the other top SF operators in the other branches of service. They are already highly accomplished multi million dollar men before joining delta force. Those men are the best of the best of the best of the best. Refer to the Show The Unit. They’ve all been in active combat theaters and basically are selected to Delta. Of course. The Gov spends millions on training those men. Plus they get the best equipment….. However you can’t just get into delta without already being in the SF for quite some time prior…. I just don't see the good in treating people in harsh ways to shape them into people who carry guns. There are so many people in the world who are already treated that way in society. Why would you train more people like that and claim it's a good thing?
@saqu7143Ай бұрын
I guess the heart of your question is - why do we need soldiers? At least that's what I'm hearing. God knows I wish we didn't but you can't fight true evil with talks only. The evil usually wins because good people are standing by, doing nothing. (Not going into the question who is good and evil in any given fighting situation here.) If you need an army as a country you need special forces too. If you need special forces you need to train them to make them special. A normal guy from the street or fresh out of school will not be able to do these extremely hard and neccessary things. But you have that with many things. People go through extrmeme hardships to reach a goal. I actually think there is beauty in the fact that we can do that, as humans.
@ArizonaGunsDaveАй бұрын
Clearly you've never served. Part of treating people harsh has nothing to do with guns, it's to see if they can mentally break you so you can quit. Those who don't quit generally can handle a situation such as being captured by the enemy as a POW or having to make life or death situations in a small amount of time and making the right decision when called upon. So, treating people harshly allows the instructors to weed out those that can potentially be an issue in a real scenario.
