I think there’s several factors on why the show is not getting many positive reviews. 1. He worked with Amazon to make a Prime Video Show. 2. The lawsuit. 3. The concept of the show is bland and done better by other brands like Netflix. 4. Not much promotion. 5. MrBeast seems to be untrustworthy to run a whole game show. 6. MrBeast allegations. 7. He’s acting desperate to get people to view and even confessed he’s willing to pay twitch streamers to react and review the show. 8. Only 3 episodes are out. 9. The only promotion is a giveaway that really feels like a scam.

It reminds me of when the lottery was done on tv, with production and all, but beast games are longer, much much louder, and with a lot of pointless show off sets. Wipeout for example is a real game show about appearing to submit contestants to dangerous challenges, but everything is cushioned, and it's fun to watch. It doesn't need a loud presenter to keep demanding attention to himself all the time.

Was at a family event yesterday and there were kids watching it. And even without the controversy, its just bad. Bad in concept. Bad design. Horrible delivery. And it feels inherently unfair. My personal gripe is that "Mr Beast" isnt a theme. Theres nothing holding this together in any meaningful way. Survivor is the vision of cast-away tribes in a faraway widerness. Amazing Race is a trek around the world. Even all the singing ane dating shows have to have a gimmick. But needless excees and MrBeast editing just doesn't translate into anything meaningful. The other thing is the sense of unfairness. With so much money on the line, every game, player and elimination needs to have a ton of raw footage that is released to the contestants, insurance and auditors so you can squash even a hint of doubt. One case of unfairness can easilly turn into 5000 here. But the over production and empty assurances just makes it seem like theres somthing to hide.

I watched the first episode of Beast games and the S2 of Squid games and the comparison is quite jarring. Even though I found the beast games entertaining at best, competing against S2 of squid games is rough because it’s literally about the winner going back and trying to end the games because of how inhumane it is. It’s hard not to feel icky about people like beast who clearly gets a kick out of being the game master. It makes his how show so tone deaf because it’s not fiction. Most of the constants really need the money.

i remember years ago when a youtuber (israeli one since i am one) said the mr/beast is behaving like ISIS in the context of more and more extreme content due to the viewer's increased demands and standards, this went hand by hand with ISIS who had to increase their bruality and their brutality of their vids as a result of people slowly ignoring them due to them being used to their level. this was years back! like chpater 1 season 8-9 fortnite level of back in my day. and its absurd how right he was. those words stuck with me for years and overtime i began to see his vision, even if he didn't say he was evil, even if he didn't say mr.beast was corrupt he did infact say that jimmy is gonna do way more extreme stuff overtime and this is the end result of that years long prediction.
