As a small business owner who dropped out of high school AND college- you’re right. Running a business is not for the faint of heart.. takes a whole lot of work and insane belief in yourself that you can make it work. There’s a reason there’s more employees than owners.. to this day I get a lot of flack from family on how “lucky” I am to be making more than a doctor without the degree. They see success, I see endless hours of hard work that I was not compensated for in the beginning. Many have dreams, few will try, most will fail, and only a couple will succeed.
@ItsB3enLikeThis6 ай бұрын
@@butskiiueepp1625Luck definitely has a lot to do with it, and pretending it doesn't is just disingenuous. The reason there are more employees than owners is because it's statically close to impossible to start a business and succeed. 70% of new businesses will fail within 2-5 years, and that number just increases as the years pass. If everyone just quit their jobs to start their own business, the overwhelming majority would be bankrupt within a year. That's cool if you were able to do it, but acting like the small minority of people who actually succeed are somehow special or more distinguished than the people who failed is just ignorant and untrue. I guarantee there are a lot of people out there who worked 10x harder than you and their businesses still failed. Luck most definitely has a lot to do with it, and hard work doesn't inherently equal success.

For him maybe, university is a place you can interact with your peers about a common interest. Sitting there and not listening is the worst thing you can do. Be present in class, sit at the front, volunteer your opinion when the teacher ask for it. Go up at the end of class and ask for clarification on points you didn't understand. There is no point in going to college if you're not in a head space of learning. If you just want to drink and have fun and cramp for an exam that you forget 99% of the content 1 week after the exam is finished is not the point. The point is to educate yourself. That being said it's stupidly expensive to do this in the US.
